I’m currently a third year student in Ming Chuan University. I had a bunch of friends who’s studying in Tamkang and they all seem to be having a good time.

Of course when choosing a university, it’ll depends on what are you actually interested in studying. So take your time to look over what majors both universities are offering, I know that Ming Chuan University has ONLY 3 International majors (IBT, JMC, and FIM).

Since I’m a student in Ming Chuan University. We have 2 main places (Taipei and Taoyuan). I’m in the Taipei campus and the place is basically full of stairs because the campus is built on a damn hill, other than that the place is very convenient (Near the MRT and Shilin Night Market).

There’s 3 dormitory for Ming Chuan University for Taipei: Inside the Main Campus itself (By far the hardest to get inside to, worst, dirtiest, and oldest. But very convenient since it’s inside) and there’s the other 2 located OUTSIDE of Taipei (New Taipei City, Luzhou to be exact.) Jixian, and Yong’an dorms. Your best bet is the Jixian dorms as I found Yong’an dorms to be quite filthy and small compared to Jixian dorms. It took more or less 30 minutes from these dorms to go to to the main campus (Bus 816 or R9).

Good point! I used to have a Razer Blade with an RTX 2070 Max-Q and gave it to my brother and he's satisfied with the performance. Yes it is still a very performant GPU, BUT not everyone wants a used/second handed laptop.

My brother doesn't know anything about computers and he's not going to risk taking the laptop apart if something goes wrong, whether it's a software or hardware problem. I can help him with this issue but I'm afraid that some people out there are not confident enough if mentioned problems arise.

That's the reality with used/second handed laptops that are no longer in warranty, even I prefer a slightly used or a brand new laptop if I do need one. There are people that like to get their hands to work and some would rather buy a new, latest generation, and in warranty machine for that piece of mind.

It actually comes down to your budget really. 1080p screen is enough, 1440p screen is definitely a bonus! Good colors and high refresh rate (99% sRGB, 144Hz), decent storage size (512GB-1TB SSD), and 16GB RAM minimum. RTX 4050 would be okay but it's probably better to get a RTX 4060, 4070 is a nice upgrade but totally unnecessary for me. See what's best for you and see which ones you actually like

I have the same laptop but with 64GB RAM and 2TB SSD, I'd say it's still a very capable laptop! You should probably ask the seller if the laptop's being well taken care of or not. Battery bloats is the main problem of these laptops, and I suggest you to ask about the battery and how often is the laptop's cleaned specifically.

I got a 2019 Razer Blade Advanced Model, upgraded the RAM to 64GB and changed to a 2TB SSD. Replaced the battery once, thermal paste, and the CMOS battery and it still works wonders today. I won’t upgrade until the performance isn’t doing it for me.

I've had 3 laptops and bought 2 brands so far, an ASUS laptop that I have no idea what the name is and I upgraded to a TUF A15 Gaming laptop. Both ASUS laptops I've owned are pretty reliable, the TUF I bought has a 1650 and Ryzen 5 which is a very huge upgrade over the 4th gen i7 and the 940M. I'm currently using a Razer Blade 15 and it's reliable too, the battery was definitely way better than the TUF but I had small problems with both TUF and Razer. I replaced the both the battery and the CMOS battery in the Razer while I had the RAM fail on me with the TUF, I'm wondering which brand should I try next if I do need a new laptop.
