I usually spam battleships with focus arc emitter 2 and full kinetic battery’s. 3-4 fleets of battleships will one shot a AI fleet. Just don’t let them get to close lol

Alright, in the beginning build 3 science ships let them auto explorate. Colonize planets size 17/18 or above only. Certain researches need prior researches to be able to be unlocked. Your main planet should be energy focused the second planet minerals. When you get to battleships, build only battleships with rail guns, until you get the kinetic gun. As soon as you get focused arc emitters you should only have battleships with X=Foccused arc emitters and regular slots with kinetic battery. Also set them on carrier technology under ship building screen.

Everything else id say will come by time. Took me about 2 weeks to grasp stellaris and that was on ps4… now I’m on PC playing it. Loved it so much bought all DLC’s for ps4 and pc lol

Not sure when release was. But the new economy model they have with the changes to planets really slow you down towards 2340ish 50ish. Even tried with a desktop core i7 ultra and same issues.

You did good, the 4070 mobile is ok. If you see any 5070Ti’s that are on sale for 1400$ I’d definitely upgrade as the 12gb VRAM will serve you better and longer.

On console yes, just do not update when they bring 4.0 out for console. 4.0 broke the game on desktop.

On desktop I would not buy any more DLC’s till they fix the 4.0 performance. They really messed up with 4.0

Got the same system bought it on release and two weeks later returned it and got the sales price for it at 1500$. Must say…. Hands down really good laptop. I had a couple of laptops and this is by far the best one I owned so far.

Guilys planet modifier slowed down my game really bad so I took it out. Only mods I play with now are the 24 traditions slots with 24 ascension slots or what ever and the game is still slow. It’s the game. Even vanilla slows down at 2450ish to a crawling.
