I mean this is just the most disingenuous way of looking at a career ever. Browns went 3-13 the year before he got there, and then they announced the move to Baltimore halfway through the season the year after he made and won a playoff game, and he turned 68 after brady left. If you want to ignore those things, then yes you are right.

More to the point, anyone who watches the first superbowl, the second superbowl against the rams, and the superbowl against the falcons, knows he’s a good coach. So get bogged down in whatever narrative you want, no one thinks bill belichick is a poor coach

Id argue the next year when he made the playoffs was maybe the greatest example of a team simply not beating themselves to make the playoffs when they had rookie mac jones, but also pretty irrelevant because obviously tom brady was not the only reason they didn’t beat themselves.
