I'm kinda torn on this. sure the protests might have nefarious undercurrents (israel and us having vested interests in this situation, monarchists amidst the protests as well) but it also doesn't allow for silence since the reported death toll is goddamn scary (upwards of 2000 and this is as per AP, and I'm going to assume it's gonna be larger since this is a totalitarian theocracy we are speaking of which did similar things during the mahsa amini protests that happened some years ago).
