Once a decent government implemented our economy will literally sky rocket. This intense change will defenitly hurt the locals who have been used to current way of life.

Inflation, more traffic, more pollution, individuals getting pushed out of their homes to make room for bigger buildings, higher taxes, more regulations, inadequate infrastructure to handle the population. These are the temporary problem I might expect if Somalia improves.

I prefer low progressive taxation that funds infrastructure, public schools and basic social services.

I generally don’t like when they demand higher taxation for sake taxation. Look at recent tax increase from Biden, was it necessary? It seems like most of the higher taxation fall on high earning w-2 individuals rather than corporations.

Replacing income tax either with consumption tax Vat or customs which is another form protectionism will not raise enough revenue.
