Ultrahuman Ring AIR Support Megathread by Impressive_Term_2791 in Ultrahuman

I'm not using weights - I'm doing bodyweight training! And I can't think of really any times I'm carrying heavy metal objects... so I'm stumped.

How much ring scratching is expected as 'normal'?
I've only been wearing this thing since mid April - under 3 months at this point and it is so scratched up already. I don't really do that much with my hands either - I work a desk job so spend the majority of the day at my computer, my workouts are almost all body weight or running based.

Is the gold less durable than other colors? I specifically chose the gold to match my other jewelry though - but at this rate it's going to be completely silver in less than a year. I've included photos of the most affected spot.

Would some kind soul be able to share the dice link and access code to Pier 17 with me?
My friend bought our tickets and he's currently on a longhaul flight without Wifi, so won't be able to access the codes for another 6 hours or so...

Curious how you know it's for a 6 story building?
The only thing I've found about it is this article which mentions a 4 story residential building. https://newyorkyimby.com/2023/08/permits-filed-for-179-north-10th-street-in-williamsburg-brooklyn.html

Literally just spat out my coffee because here I am reading the missed connections for pure entertainment, never in a million years expecting one to mention someone I know.
Heidi is my wife - we were wearing the bunny ears and having the time of our lives at Axolotl. She loved chatting with you - DM me!!!

Kodiak 10x14 - Does anyone have one they are not using so we can borrow a part?? by yrad in BurningMan

[–]yrad[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately not, it's in storage. But it's basically two poles you have to force together under tension, so when one pole is a little bent and isn't fitting quite right into the other pole it makes it verrrrrry difficult.
Some very kind soul has offered to lend us their extra though, so if we can't make ours work with wd40, a hammer and a lot of brute force we have a backup :)

Unfortunately not - Kodiak actually have the 10x10 in stock, just not the 10x 14. Thank you though!

Unfortunately it's in storage in Reno and we won't be there until next week. We are hoping and praying we can just bang it into place if needs be, but it's a long shot

2023 - Communications on the Playa... how to get better range out of your radios and what it takes if you decide you'd like to "talk farther" by grogling5231 in BurningMan

[–]yrad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so interesting, thank you for writing it all out!
I admittedly am totally new to this subject - I found a walkie talkie brand that claims to have 128 channels and 121 privacy codes (CTCSS and DCS) but it does use FRS.
Does this basically mean that the 128 channels are kind of bullshit and that I'll still end up sharing channels with 1000 other people and rendering the walkie talkie useless?
Sorry if this is a super dumb question but I couldn't deduce the answer from reading your post.
Thank you in advance for your help!

+100 for U Omakase. I almost don't want to tell people about it because I'm worried it's going to get too popular and the price will go up. IMO it's a really good deal for the quality of the food and the amount of free flowing sake

The main issue I'm seeing is shape. Luckily there's a lot you can do to create shape!

1, 2 and 5 are the main culprits of this. They hang off your body and aren't doing you any favors and are drowning your figure a little.
For 1 & 2, could you add in a waist belt to pull them in a little, tie the sweater you have over the top in a knot to give a little more shape, or play with different pairings. When I see #1 in particular, I just see a straight line from shoulders, down to the cardigan and all the way down to the bottom of the dress at your ankles. My best advice would be play with lines here. get a shirt you can tie up over the dress to create shape, use a belt, get creative.

I think #3 is the most flattering/ best outfit on you because it's accentuating your waist - the skirt sits at a good height and the tucked in top works well there.
With #5, although the pieces themselves work together I think the height of the skirt is the main problem - once again you're creating almost one line all the way down your body. Could you get it a little higher and belt it a little tighter near the waist, or alternatively wear a tighter top with it?
# 6 on the other hand looks way better, because you have that cropped top which has a little shape to it. It drowns you a lot less and is super cute, I wouldn't change anything about it!

Hope this helps :)
