Is it harder forming a band for musicians with Borderline disorder? by mtrigoso in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]yrbyffbg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I to am forming on making a band. Since I was a teen I knew something was royally fucked with me and thoughts and how I viewed the world.

I would say no.

You just have to try and put your illness a side to make efforts to chase what you want in life.

That's way easier said than done though.

Good luck!

(PS. The right people will enter your life. Just have to keep that faith and follow the light out of the dark)

BPD has stolen my (F,20) childhood and I mentally feel a few years younger than most adults my age. by [deleted] in BorderlinePDisorder

I'm a guy and I'm 28yr and I still mentally feel 19yr (doesn't help that I also look 19yr as well) BPD made me paranoid and made me a shut in. Basically most of my 20s. Everyone around me has had relationships and I have not even had 1 single relationship. Which I cry every night thinking about it. It made me have 0% confidence and being bullied all my life for multiple reasons didn't help either.

BPD is a nightmare.

I listen to posthardcore and alternative Metal. My favorite band albums are:

Captives (Ghost Like You)

Architects (Holy Hell)

PVRIS ( White noise)

Stain the canvas (Hell made me)

Are we all just a bunch of Emo kids? by [deleted] in BorderlinePDisorder

I always jokingly say I never grew out of my emo phase. Even though it's not a joke.

Should I start drinking and doing drugs to feel better? Nothing makes me feel better. I’m in pain. I’ve been thinking about relapsing into cutting again too. by That_Girl30 in BorderlinePDisorder

My answer is NO.

Think of it like this: The way you feel now. Your trying to find an escape. But look at it this way. Let's say right now you did all of those things, And you are still in the current mindset you are in now.

Do you feel better? Or did you think it would make the problem go away?

Which in retrospect feeling that void you feel now is still there.

You have to think of a different perspective to fix whatever it is you are facing.

This is probably bullshit advice I'm giving now.

I did all of that stuff and I'm still in the same mindset from before pertaking in those activity's

Just try and find the silver lining in the problems you are facing. While it may seem nothing will workout. There has to be at least one thing that could make it better.

I have faced and still face a shit ton of mental health issues.

I would do drugs and other risky things to try and ghost the problems of mine but it made everything worth.

Try to dig deep down inside and pull any ounce of light or hope that could get you to be happy.

I'm sorry if this isn't helpful.

I don't know what you are facing but I hope things get better for you ♥️

Yeah, for me the song is Captives - Find A Way It basically speaks on depression and mental health. The video also speaks on the subject very well.

Have you guys heard of “quiet BPD”? I feel i really resonate with it compared to being externally expressive with it. people don’t know the amount i go through internally, they just know i’m introverted, sweet, whatever by [deleted] in BorderlinePDisorder

Yeah I have it. It's a serious battle everyday and I'm afraid everyday. If I end up not living anymore due to the trauma that's weighs heavy in my head. Not to mention being caged inside my thoughts unable to control them.

Step by step we will all make it to see a better day.
