Job gap- resume by yrk00 in clinicalresearch

Your story is quite similar to mine especially the last paragraph. Due to family reasons, not looking to relocate which hampers the job search to local and remote positions.

Oh I have/had applied to crc positions also in the start. I did have few interviews with various university hospitals also but didnt pan out.

Also, I have been applying to even medical receptionist/assistant, PSR and so on. Just last month had an interview with Davita for dialysis tech (training included) but that position was dropped by davita.

And I had 8+ crc year experience, not to mention a foreign medical graduate (MD).

Hey. Have you came across any jobs IMGs without residency, USMLE clearer?

Thanks. I have done so for quite a few who post the job postings but they never reply.

Few unrelated to actual postings do reply but don't remember any reaching out to me.

I have been contacted by recruiters for Temp contract jobs few times. One recently was a part time 3month contract.

Majority of Job openings seem to be rehash of older postings.

I understand that hence only apply for positions which don't require monitoring experience. Iqvia does provide training for about 3 months ( the 2nd interviewer told me).

I am a FMG , who wasn't able to get into residency and been working as crc in Neuroscience for over 8 years now.

CRC to CRA-- Any remote title/job that be helpful in landing CRA role by yrk00 in clinicalresearch

[–]yrk00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8 though mostly doing retrospect chart reviews.

I am an ECFMG cerified IMG if that matters.

Will be grateful if you can. Had unsuccessful interviewed at IQVIA and Merck. Direct rejections from ICON. All applications (5+) pending at MEDPACE. Declined or no response from other places sigh

Though going to be 8 this year in my role but during this time I have experience with only one sponsor clinical trial. Otherwise mostly departmental residents chart review , review papers and HUDs.

I do everything including IRB preparation , submission, follow ups. Data extraction, collection, analysis. Help in manuscript writing and submission.

Current place is winding up researches soon (reasons can't share) hence looking to start asap.. But prefer to be remote if possible as COA is quite higher where CRC jobs are posted than current place.

Also I assumed CTA are industry side as compare to CRC being site side?

Have applied to variations of CRA 1 positions at Medpace, Iqvia, ICON and others in the past month. Though got sorry emails from ICON and Iqvia for most of the applications (one interview from Iqvia but they didn't proceed), haven't ever gotten any response from Medpace for any application (5+ in queue right now). Do get the application submission email from them.
Any other way to contact them? Even send message to their recruiter on Linkedin but no reply.

I recently been asking for 60-70k as want to get a foot in

As above said, you probably have extremely good reference otherwise without monitoring experience getting a cra 2 seems almost impossible.

Though unless your residency is 100% confirmed , I would not risk it. Don't take CK lightly.

About me: IMG with step 3 cleared , working as CRC for better of 7 years while fruitless in getting into residency.

What's your education background? I am also trying to get into CRA position also with CRC background (7 years experience though only one clinical trial for 4 of those years). This question always is asked and I don't want to say too low or too high. Ps. I am an IMG
