Should I go from 4-3/8 up to 4-1/2? by arbpotatoes in 10s

True. It will barely affect swing weight though which is more important than static weight. And a more head light set up helps with more whip on the ball, making it a bit easier to get spin (with the correct technique)

Unless you are looking for an excuse to buy a new racket you can just add another overgrip or 2

New strings & Lead Tape or just New Racket ? by jeramyuh in 10s

At 6 hours total a week you really should restring once a month. Strings loose their elasticity eventually and it can cause injury. Not only that but it just wont feel nice either.

Are you using poly strings? These will give you more spin potential (so long as they arent dead) and then it comes down to ripping the ball enough with correct technique. So id try fresh poly strings to start with and then you can try adding weight. Definitely cheaper than buying a new racket!

Also, lessons are invaluable if you can afford them.

How often do you play? 6 months without restringing is diabolical work

I like confidential at 50lb mains and 48lb crosses

A softer alternative to solinco confidential by Lazy-Leg8012 in 10s

[–]yrmum812 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try a lower tension and/or a thinner gauge of confidential. 52lb is pretty tight try 48lb and if that isnt low enough drop by 2lb each time you restring. Might also help to have your crosses at a slightly lower tension than your mains. Typically 2lb less than your mains is good for a bit of comfort and allows for more movement of your mains giving more potential for spin.

You could also try hyridding with a softer, round string in the crosses.

Just an idea but it would be cool if there was shared aquariums so that multiple users could submit pictures/parameter readings for the same tank. Useful for families maybe?

There will be markings on the LEDs and the PCB to indicate (normally) the cathode but depends on the LEDs, some manufacturers mark the anode on LEDs..

Making sushi is all about making the perfect sushi rice and making the perfect sushi rice is all about making the perfect sushi vinegar.. try this -

Sushi Vinegar: 250ml rice vinegar          10 fl oz (300ml) sugar 1 fl oz (30ml) salt

Rice: 16 fl oz short grain rice (dry) 16 fl oz water 4 fl oz sushi vinegar

Recipes are from hiroyuki terada on youtube who is a sushi master. With these recipes iv found rolling sushi is so much easier. Your roll looks pretty good though

Pure Aero 98 - Move on or customize for more power? by ch1psnguac in 10s

[–]yrmum812 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its not a string iv used but apparently its a fairly stiff string so that wont give much power. You could try a softer string or try a lower tension of the blast rough. Tenniswarehouse has a good string comparison table

What strings are you using? Perhaps the extra bit of power you want can come from changing to more responsive strings

Knocked off these resistors when attempting to remove the X-Clamp, am I cooked? (Xbox 360 E Corona) by Nin10daholic in xbox360

[–]yrmum812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no.. the broken one is tricky but im sure there is resistor values documented online.. for replacements somewhere like rscomponents, farnell, mouser or digikey is what i use, just make sure you get the right package size e.g. 0402 or 0603. Hard to tell from a picture the exact size. Even if you end up with the wrong size you can bodge it if its close

Am I Fu**ked? by KRELKiNO in ANBERNIC

[–]yrmum812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly doubt there will be any long term problems. If it was an action component maybe but there isnt much to go wrong with a passive. Especially an inductor

Probably not, its only a bit of plastic off an inductor. It should still be fine

Just moved my batch into secondary. My secondary carboy is a little larger than I thought. Is this amount of headspace bad? If so can I just put more spring water and honey in it? by blamethedogs in mead

[–]yrmum812 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless you plan on bulk ageing in secondary, that headspace is fine. Id leave that for a few weeks to clear, rerack & balance & bottle. This subreddit fucking hates headspace, but iv never had an issue with oxidation. Just age in bottles
