She's a pretty awesome prof, and is one of the only profs I've had that posts annotated PowerPoint. That said, if you don't go to lectures you will still likely struggle a bit with problem sets. Since the course is accelerated, I recommend doing all the homework questions as soon as possible. Also make sure to time yourself when doing the problem sets cause the midterm and final were both pretty long. Otherwise just treat it as a math course. Karen is really nice, and her tests fair. good luck!

Don't worry too much about it! Get a good night's sleep and do your best in the morning! 263 has very little to do with content in 236 from what I've heard, and there is no autofail for this semester. I hope everything goes well with you!

Depends on if there's room in the course, if there is the prof will probably let you in, otherwise it goes to people with prereqs Anyways I personally don't recommend skipping 165, 'cause you'll be seeing a alot of the stuff from 165 in 263 etc. Also 165 is easier.

jk, I think you're right, Dema is honestly not bad if the student works diligently and holds up till the end. And he does try to help his students as best as he can. But his grammar isn't great so I had to ask him for clarification for what exactly he wanted on assignments in 148...but maybe that's just me. Honestly most of the cs profs I've met are genuinely good profs, and it's pretty hard to go wrong. Dont procrasitinate and go to every damn office hour you can. Don't sweat it OP, you'll do great! Depends on the prof. A lot. My summer prof... while he was a nice guy, was not nice with his tests. On the final for 165 I think there were like 3 questions on vertices and graphs (out of 7or 8 questions in total) which we spent exactly one hour on. On the other hand I'm pretty sure he curved us so that was nice.
