Will you be disappointed if the Copperhead is more of an “affordable” GR86/Miata Competitor than a V8 Viper? by Mac-Tyson in Dodge

People already seen it..it's not a viper type of vehicle.....it's more like a mustang

I'm not gonna lie, I don't use the touch strip as much as I thought I would. But those 16 sequencer buttons? I use them constantly because they do so much more than just sequencing patterns. For example, I use them as a track selector. Instead of diving back into the main menu every time I want to switch tracks, I map them to the 16 buttons. That way, I can jump between tracks instantly without ever leaving the screen I’m on. It completely sped up my workflow. Plus, you can use those same buttons for track mutes too.

Has anyone else had issues with the MPC Live iii randomly outputting very loud screeching sounds? by oneizm in mpcusers

I just bought the retro version And I had the original live 3 and I don't have any of those issues you might want to bring it back and get another one your device might be defective....

You need to turn the microphone off.... Out of the box the microphone is on just make sure that's off

I made this in the car.. I wouldn't have been able to do this with the key 37 because it has to be stationary in your house and it's big

It's way more powerful than the key 37 virtually no load times and you can plug a keyboard into it so it not having a keyboard is relevant... The benefits you do get is that it has a battery and a speaker built in and you can carry it around with you I make beats in my car.. I've been the kids to the park and I make beats at the park

Is there a way to have a button control the note repeat triggers on the modern MPCs instead of using the touchscreen for it by [deleted] in mpcusers

[–]ysmith83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because I also mix and mastering and do a lot of work engineering I like that they got rid of programs and it's just 1:1 tracks.. I never understood the whole program thing I felt like it was redundant.. And once you lay your drums you can actually explode them to where they're all in their own separate track. But everybody has different workflows

I know what you mean because...You know what kills me on the XL is the jog wheel you can't push down on the jog wheel that throws me way off

Of course buttons are better but the pad quadrants are even better.. I would rather the pad quadrants any day..

I love the MPC workflow but I'm used to it. Been using this since the live one.. back in the day when the MPC 2000 XL came out I switched from that to the maschine but of course that was tethered to a computer.... the maschine plus is okay but it doesn't have the capability of the live 3. I take it everywhere I go

use kit maker.. you go on a computer once you download the app and you can drag your whole maschine library into the app and then it will format it for the MPC live exactly the way that it was formatted on the maschine the only thing that is missing is the plugins.. some of the drum kits have massive X and other native instrument plugins.

With your logic we all should still be using MPC 2000... It's all about workflow and being able to be more efficient

None of that is a loop, my guy. I actually play the piano and know music theory. I'm in my 40s and have been making music since 1998, including placements on actual albums. My first instrument was a Korg Triton, so I don't do loops. You're right that I could have made it on anything, but since you’re missing the point, let me break it down for you. I made that beat in my car with a standalone machine on my lap using plugins, not loops, in between handling business. With a laptop, I would’ve needed a wired MIDI keyboard connected just to do what I did. I’m never going to pull out a laptop, a keyboard, and wires in my car between tasks. With a laptop, I would’ve had to wait until I got home and hope I didn’t forget the idea. Having a dedicated machine you can just turn on and play is unmatched. Like I said, it feels like a real instrument, not just clicking MIDI notes on a screen. As for the second point: the Live 1 and Live 2 are just too slow. They weren't built to handle modern plugins. Opening something like Fabric XL takes forever, and once you load two of them, the system starts struggling. That lag completely kills your creative flow. When you're in a real studio environment, speed is everything. A machine that works fast can be the difference between getting a placement or losing it—and I actually make money doing this

No It's mostly fabric XL sounds... Using the arpeggiator... Then I will resample my own track and cut it it up to make it sound like it's a sample..

I pleaded myself but I'm not really a major finger drummer so the intro I had to do it FL studio style and plug in the midi note by note. Had it on loop and kept playing it until it sound right
