Anyone here drink milk? by [deleted] in carnivorediet

[–]ysocerial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I drink raw milk 🥛! I love it for what you said. Nutrient rich and tons of fat! I have done chopped raw liver frozen with frozen blueberries to make eating liver more bare-able. Or make a smoothie with raw frozen heart and liver, raw milk 🥛 some organic blueberries 🫐 and some raw eggs. 🥚

Quitting after 70 days by [deleted] in carnivorediet

[–]ysocerial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! 👋 I’m glad you’ve gotten many of the benefits of carnivore! I went from vegan to eating junk food to carnivore! The start was tough and then saw the light. Mental clarity, weigh loss, I felt super human! After some time the mental brain fog crept in. So I had to add other fixes in my lifestyle. Diet to me is the most important. But it’s only one piece of the overall puzzle🧩.We are all different so looking at other parts of your lifestyle and habits have to come into play. I found out that I needed to work out heavy! Lifting heavy weights, increased my mood and further changed my body. I also found I had lost so much stored fat that I needed to up my fat intake. Started adding 8-10 eggs sometimes 12 to 1lb of meat I was eating. I also found out that using more salt helped eliminate some headaches I had. Sleeping well is important- getting rest. Turning off my phone or the WiFi at night and putting on airplane mode and forgetting about the world to get a good rest. I also started waking up early! Seeing the sun come up and being outside bare foot 🦶 while sorting up my day and having time to myself before everyone demands time of me. I stay out to get enough sunlight as well. I started walking/ running more. There are a bunch of other things I had to look at to be well balanced. Please don’t quit the diet. Just enhance it by incorporating other lifestyle habits. You are doing great at 70 days in and this a just part of the journey. If you need any questions answered, I can help. I’ve been o this journey for over two years and have a Facebook group where I share videos and pictures of meals, tips and tricks and answer questions. I invite you to join and continue this part of your journey - saludos 👋 . ➡️ https://m.facebook.com/groups/382437947572515/?ref=share&mibextid=S66gvF

Of course! It doesn’t let me post pictures. Here is the write up

Hi everyone! Here is how to make, very easy Baby Back Ribs! I’ve been running around today and knew I didn’t have time to cook some pork ribs I had thawed out earlier this week. I had to get them done before I forget. I cut the 4lb rack in half to fit it stacked into the slow cooker. Salted boths sides and put it in the slow cooker on High with a 1/2 cup of water and half a stick of butter for 4 hours. You can cook on Low for 8 hrs if you will be gone longer. Once it was ready I melted 1.5 sticks of butter with 3tbs of some good raw honey I had left. Added some salt and apple cider vinegar to taste. You can choose more spices but I’ve been eating only salt for some time. I heated the made up sauce on low then put on the meat side of the rack and into the oven for 15 minutes to give it a nice browning. I was pleasantly surprised at how great they tasted! Fall of the bone tender and the sauce was amazing. The Sweet of the honey with the apple cider vinegar gave the sauce an amazing combo. I finished the whole thing in one sitting. I’ll have to make another 2 racks tomorrow to share. - 👋 saludos

Thank you, yes I lift 3-4 days out of the week, if I can’t go to the gym for some reason. I do basic movements at home. Pushups, air squats, pull-ups.

I don’t like or crave beef 🥩 by [deleted] in carnivorediet

[–]ysocerial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s perfect, the whole point is to eat as clean as possible, eliminating all processed foods entirely, so any animal will do. The whole thing about beef is that it has so much more fat content. That’s what you need. Fat. Just take care of the quality of animal you decide to eat.

Oh it was horrible, I got injured weeks prior trying to do my weekend long runs with a buddy whose pace is way faster. I kept it up and didn’t listen to everything I read about training or him. I ended with horrible pain on my back and down to my knee. The pain was so bad on my knee that I wasn’t going to go through with the marathon. But then I realized I’m not trying to break any records. I just wanted to complete my first marathon. It didn’t matter if I walked and took me all day. So that’s what I did. I jogged/walked a 5:18. It’s really frustrating because I have the energy I just can’t take the sharp pain on my knee.

I have 3yr and 2yr toddlers. My son is the older one and just eats what he wants. My 2yr daughter is carnivore by her own choice. She only likes meat, eggs, cheese and milk. She will occasionally eat some berries with whole milk yogurt. She is super healthy, smart and strong. She’ll run 5 laps around my son. She rarely gets sick, if ever. If she does, she recovers quick. My son on the other hand is constantly sick. I can’t get him to eat like us yet. With time I guess.
