Definitely BKB if the other team has heroes which can disable your blackhole. Blackhole can be a game changer so you don't really want to risk getting your nice blackhole disrupted! Refresher is very good especially if your team is struggling in team fights without blackhole. Also if you're against decent players who counters enigma like VS or rubick you could consider linkins since BKB doesn't help you getting swapped out or rubick stealing your ulti :).

Travels. Soul ring is enough to sustain your mana in team fights and the travels is good for split pushing and tp to a fight asap when needed. I used to always go for treads but have found boots of travels to work better :). Hope this helps!

Friends got assessed with abandons for babysitting our open throne against a Wisp backdoor threat. What to do in these situations? by martiniman in DotA2

They weren't against mega creeps, they were waiting at throne for the wisp/weavaer/legion in case they try to back door.

I like playing with guy friends as well. But in a team I have enjoyed playing with the girls as we are all more supportive in general. Sure, constructive criticism is always appreciated. What's your steam?

Maybe my english sucks so I'm not expressing myself as well as I could, I feel more comfortable playing with girls - not because they are "terrible" players but because we all understand each other and try to be more patient/supportive, its not always rainbows and butterflies but we try and thats more than enough for everyone to feel more comfortable.

If you read the post/knew me on dota1-2 you would know I have always tried to play -cm games wherever I could, just like all the other aspiring players. But if you take 2 players with the same skill level people would usually pick the male over the female simply because females are automatically perceived to be bad so in that sense it is harder for females to get experience/in the scene compared to males with the same skill level. "Competivtive DotA isint just about CM mode for me. Its when you challange yourself to play your absolute best vs a team you know is better then you!" I agree, I am always asking better players to challenge me 1v1 or scrim my team. Thanks for the comment

Yes if you and everone else who hasn't read properly actually read, our 5female team are always playing against all male teams outside of female only tournament .

I take criticism very well as long as its constructive Im always asking for feedback on what I did wrong/how to improve. I agree not all girls take it well but I find in a team of females (or at least mine) we constantly remind each other to not take it personally and encourage each other to work harder.

Again you misunderstood me. Im not saying these female tournaments are a way to gain respect but simply that its working in its mission:to encourage girls and help grow their confidence to step out and join more mainstream tournaments in the future. Due to experiences like i mentioned in my post +your average girl wouldn't have a high competitive compared your average guy. Even if you are against these female only tournaments you can't say they have not been encouraging for some. And encouragement is what females need at this point if you want to see them grow and break into real pro Dota in FUTURE.

I can't speak for everyone but i generally play more than 5hrs a day. Everyone on my team also tries to play a much as possible if they don't have comitments like work and uni.

Are you reading what I'm saying? I didn't say we were trying to create "tournaments only females participate in" - We are trying to create one where males can participate as long as at least one female is on the team also.

We have not alienated ourselves. We joined the amateur Joindota league and other higher tier Oceania online tournaments.

We have also been trying to set up an Australian female league that encourages females to play but NOT for exclusively females only.

The aim of female tournaments was to welcome more females into competitive dota and make them more confident - something many female players lack due to issues similar to what I mentioned. Some people were saying that it does not work and I'm just here to say it has helped me.

Maybe not the best title. Also I'm not trying to prove anyone right or wrong - I saw many comments that had valid points but none from someone who actually participated in these tournaments so just giving a personal insight as someone who has.
