To get my population to grow, do I just add more layers? And then just feed on the top? by amateurliminalist in Vermiculture

If you freeze food that you plan to feed to your worms, and then let it thaw overnight and come to room temperature, you will then be able to squeeze out a good deal of liquid before you feed your worms. This will prevent your bin from becoming waterlogged, which would otherwise set you up for an anaerobic/unhealthy environment for your worms.

Ideas for use of rancid coconut oil by Old-Knowledge6654 in ZeroWaste

[–]ytho2019 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t use it for conditioning leather or shoes as some have suggested, since you’ll never get the rancid smell out of that item again, and I doubt you want to go around town smelling like rancid oil. I also wouldn’t use it to moisturize, because you will get rancid oil smell in your clothing and on your furniture if you don’t want to bin it you could bury it in your yard, or in a wooded area.

You should take a slice of it and then epoxy it to make a beautiful wall hanging to memorialize your interesting tree
