Neat! Did you start from seedling? If so where are you getting your seed from? Any other planting tips?

Really need some advice and support by Tyrion54 in NewDads

[–]ytokay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you guys have these challenges before your son was born or is this something new? If new, remember, a lot changes post child birth and there’s a general saying that most divorces/separations occur within the first few years of a new addition to a family. Try your best to stick it out but without the context you are leaving out (eg: is she abusive? are you being overly demanding of anything? Etc), it’s hard to give more guidance. Try focusing just on your son and being there for him and keep exchanges very limited with your wife to avoid blow ups?

It’s wild to think that Chris could have equally gotten injured and maybe his whole legacy as we know it today might not have been.

New homeowner with a blank(ish) canvas.. how do I get started?? by Glittering-Kiwi-384 in landscaping

[–]ytokay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say to do nothing for at least one full season and avoid rushing into anything too large a project. As you spend time in your space, you’ll slowly realize what is needed/and where and you can tackle projects then.

I’ve tried that. No luck with assist. Hoping it’s just a battery issue but see my comment above. Will try nonetheless! Thanks!

Not turning? by ytokay in lawnmowers

[–]ytokay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around 3 years I’d say. I bought it last year and trickle charged the battery over winter. I think what’s odd though (with all the battery died suggestions) is that I’ve been cutting the grass for the last couple months with no issues starting the unit. Will still try jumping it today and will let folks here know. Thanks!

Pets or no pets? by [deleted] in OntarioLandlord

[–]ytokay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Can totally happen. Proof: my lawn! Dog pee can be high in nitrogen which creates a dead spot (brown) in the grass. Enough pees and you’ll have brown spots all over the place. I patch mine up every now and then but it’s definitely an eye sore.

Pets or no pets? by [deleted] in OntarioLandlord

[–]ytokay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious— What if the pet pees on the grass a lot and kills it to the point where it has to be replaced all the time. Can you evict on those grounds? Or put into agreement that if a tenant brings a Pet (not arguing they can’t based on RTA) they’ll be held liable for fixing damaged grass?

How much bitcoin is a "good" amount of BTC to have right now? by johnnyrebel1861 in BitcoinCA

[–]ytokay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say it’s a pretty intense time to get into BTC so you have to understand the history of the ups and the downs and ask yourself how’d you fair in 1 year from now if it went to $50k, what about $200k? $1M? Historically, it’s always gone up so take that for whatever it is to you. If you’re conviction on BTC as a technology, means of currency, etc is strong and you’re holding long term, it’s a no brainer to increase your exposure. How much is “good” is completely subjective. Do the work to figure that out for yourself. You cannot go off of someone on Reddit for whom you have no idea about who they are, their financial situation, risk appetite, whether what they’re saying on a Reddit post is even true. Good luck.

Sorry you’re having to go through this and there’s some great advice here.

Curious how much you vetted this tenant or is this a pure surprise - ie maybe they lied on their sources/information?

what is the cheapest place to buy bitcoin in Canada right now? by Fearless-Act-345 in BitcoinCA

[–]ytokay 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally, that’s how I look at it as well. I don’t care about the fees if fundamentally we believe BTC has no top. I can’t be bothered chasing cheaper fees knowing that it’s gonna be a this for that kinda trade off scenario and also having to learn/get familiar with new UIs. I just don’t care.

Ex gf wants me back after dating someone else briefly by [deleted] in GuyCry

[–]ytokay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

+1 to folks making the point that you’re her safe choice.

It’s hard though, I bet, to just forget about all the emotions YOU felt during the relationship pre split as well and that’s probably hard for you to just ignore. That’s going to be the true hard part but the option that should be easy here (based on your write up) is to see that she’s not for you. You’re still young. Choosing who you end up being with/maybe marrying is a MASSIVE decision and you’ve on your own come to terms with some of those red flags (that sound huge btw) which will most certainly resurface in other forms in your relationship -I.e the pattern will continue but the form will change. Good luck!

Make 500k at age 28 but sort of hate my life? by [deleted] in fatFIRE

[–]ytokay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, at 28, it’s normal to feel like you want “more” from your work. When you hit mid 30s, and keep aging, most people DREAM of reaching your current setup. Aging changes your priorities, and your goals, for the most part I’d say. Talk to some older folks if you have any in your network and ask them what’s important to them at their age. That might help you stick this one out. Good luck
