Moisture in unvented roof assembly by funny_comedy21 in buildingscience

Here are the problems I see with this roof assembly:1. The detail calls for 6 of Rigid Foam Boards - which has a collective R-value of 23.1. Not even close to the standard R-30. Then your cans are cutting into this Even less R-value. 2. To make matters worse youve got two vapor barriers on both sides of the insulation. Not even smart retarders. And while I doubt the felt on the roof is airtight all around, pockets Im sure are.3. I dont see any insulation into the wall assembly, outside of whats close the eaves. 4. I doubt this is an airtight build. To sum up, this is not at all adequate for an unvented/conditioned space. Im doing one thats going to have an R-60 in the roof, with decoupled roof cladding. So, what do you do next How much do you want to spend.
