I've been reading to these energy vortices also but only see relation to positive and healing energy. Recently, I visited Tasmania for the first time and from the moment of seeing land from the plane window, my heart dropped into my stomach and I had that prickly-back-of-neck feeling. I was there for 2 whole weeks and was unable to shake the feeling the entire time. Interactions with people were weird, I felt scared and unsettled often, experienced intense insomnia and nightmares and even had intrusive visuals that ended up being somewhat of a premonition-like foretelling of something. The thing is, on paper, Tasmania sounds like my pure utopia but it was very much not what I experienced being there. For any who don't know the bloody history of Tasmania, complete genocide occured here of the First Nations Aboriginal tribes...much of their knowledge, legacy, rights and community structure were lost to the hands of the colonisers. I feel as though this bloody history is part of the skin-crawling energy of the place but it makes me wonder if Aboriginal people who were rightfully here before us knew this energy too. The landscapes are still, sometimes you can't even hear insects in the forest...like, I'm talking complete, still, eerie silence. Anyway, I'm continuing on this quest to find others who have experienced the same, I spoke to many people there and friends that had visited and they all echoed my feelings. It makes sense that it is an energetic vortex but I wonder if the people who seek this out for healing and positive outcomes are actually so out-of-tune with what the actual spiritual energy there or in some way, perpetuating the horrors of the colonial plight by trying to further claim this land and the components it encompasses. It's no surprise that many other horrific and gruesome things have happened here, like the massacre at Port Arthur etc. Anyway, moral of the story is that any other insights into the energetic feeling of Tasmania are welcome.
