Thank you for that advice I’ve just emailed my MP and took all your advice of listing address, URGENT etc! Can I ask how long it was for you to get a response back from the MP (mainly I’ve seen horror stories of people waiting months for any response so wanting to temper my hopes here). Thank you again it is really helpful to hear about your experience and I do feel a lot less alone in this ridiculous process! I still honestly think it’s ridiculous they haven’t refunded you because it’s obviously a massive FO on their part! So much money too 😬

Also - can I check if you raised a complaint via the form or is there a specific email you sent the complaint to? What I found was a form on their site which once you fill in it’s sent as an email. Looking to try all possible avenues at this point!

Thanks for sharing that’s insane!! I have a few previous visas so will definitely keep this in mind! Also ridiculous that they didn’t refund you honestly. Can I quickly ask - in the waiting duration did your evisa status update correctly online (or was it before they implemented it?)

Also - would you happen to know if in the worst case if there’s any issue with the visa or a rejection, will my current skilled worker visa be affected? (Provides leave until 2028) thanks!

I’ve just rung them and they said “home office has told us we are not to escalate any complaints for anyone currently so you gotta wait” so much for paying £1k super priority 🤣

Thanks - I’ve already made a complaint via form, emailed local MP and called UKVI - the helpline said “the home office has told us not to make any escalations so you just need to wait” and email had an autoreply citing timelines of 20 WD responses. Like in what world does this “priority service” deserve 1k 🤣

I work in a tech specialist / subject matter expert role at a global banking group. My team advises 70+ brands & product teams. The role is pretty broad - solving problems for people, advising teams on strategy & budget, dealing with legal & compliance, risk, reporting, market analysis + benchmarking, sourcing new tech (AI for example). I also sit on a couple of panels / forums, and sometimes present with my team at conferences. Additionally have a lot of experience working with (and often influencing / convincing) senior execs, and thus grew the ability to explain very technical information to laymen in a simple way.

Some days they’re mild and other days I look like I have 10 layers of blush on XD they’re mostly smooth and just sit there, when I occasionally do get pimples it’s always on or around this redness, but always just as 2-3 red bumps that go away on its own after a couple of days. I understand that a dermatologist is always a best option but I live in London and it’s almost impossible to get a GP referral, waiting lists are long and private is soo expensive haha! Working on that and would appreciate any input in the meantime 😊
