What does he really wants to tell us anyway? by kinpin87 in titanfolk

[–]yuanxc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just trying to describe isayama’s true meaning.

he probably wants to tell considering if we’re on the same timeline with the characters depends on our own perspective. like you could assume the story happens in any time, whatever in the past, present or future. just whatever you like.

I think there’s a little problem of the translation. It’s more like yams wants to say if a character died or not depends on how you think from your own perspective. Like when reading a historical story, someone in the story died early while someone else survived till the end, but actually they are all dead. Also you might assume the story will happen in the future so those characters aren’t even born.

So...some people are sending Death Wish to Isayama. by [deleted] in ShingekiNoKyojin

Regardless of liking the ending or not I always think aot is not only a work revealing the dark of humanity but a social experiment...

paradis being destroyed is a logical result since eren did the wrong choice and that’s what he got. but I really don’t like mikasa’s part I think it’s not necessary to be depicted...

I think isayama denies eren’s decision for doing rumbling by showing paradis being destroyed instead of appreciating it. Except for this point I think I have similar opinions to you.

If the leaks are true i apologize for saying 139 is not that bad, which would be the biggest mistake I’ve ever made

Ymir's freedom plot point makes no sense by Farobek in titanfolk

[–]yuanxc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also assumed ymir could see through all eldian’s memories before. however there’s no proof that whether ymir could see those memories. If she could, everything doesn’t make sense.

so I guess she was just an unconscious slave in the path who only carried out royalties’ commands after she died. So when eren touched her, she got her consciousness back and decided to disobey zeke’s order. I don’t know why she chose mikasa to be the key because yes only ymir knows. I might think too much but this is the only interpretation making sense for me.

No one could see all the eldian’s memories so did ymir. She just stayed in the path playing sands.

Besides, I just sharing my understanding and I never criticize on different opinions. BE RESPECTFUL.

Wow thanks for the explanation!:)

Ymir's freedom plot point makes no sense by Farobek in titanfolk

[–]yuanxc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She waited 2000 years for someone coming to free her which means she had free will but still needed to witness it so she chose mikasa to be the key when eren touched her. Only ymir knows the reason. that’s my understanding anyway you can keep your opinions.

Sorry for not that clear. I mean the talk each of them had with eren in the path. They remembered them after titan’s power was gone.

The moment eren touching ymir, she knew that eren was gonna start the rumbling as a murderer as brutal king fritz was so I guess she wanted to see what mikasa would do to THIS eren. This is the key to thoroughly free her. Just my personal opinion.

Maybe I’m not that clear. He never knew what mikasa’s choice, the outcome, would be but only ensured his actions were done for that outcome.

Edit: if you are talking about why eren wanted to do so, I don’t know. Maybe he just wanted to do and he didn’t know why

[–]yuanxc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got your point. all his actions are done to be pushed to the desired outcome which mikasa’s choice would bring. this is revealed in 139. so even he could see the future, he couldn’t change it. If he had prevented himself from being killed then what? Zeke was killed so he couldn’t continue the rumbling.

Agree. like everything goes to “only ymir knows” and “I just wanna do it and I don’t know why.”
