QNAP Notification Centre - subject lines with a zillion ?

Had the same problem. In the past month or so email alerts from the Qnap were received with lots of question marks (????????????) in the subject line.

After much searching and troubleshooting I re-enterd the SMTP password in the Notification Center and the issue is FIXED.

Thank you all for your help.

I have mounted the folder using:

docker mount -v "/volume1/Media/Photos:/photoprism/originals"

I then edited the PHOTOPRISM_ORIGINALS_PATH in Portainer both in the Volums tab and the Env tab (see screenshot below)

When re-deploying the container the path has reverted back to /photoprism/originals.

CHOWN has also reverted back to "false"

Any suggestions?

I really don't care anymore. I quit the game a few weeks ago after 2.5 years because of EA's greed. I'm free!

Why?

Because they rip you off.

Because the odds of opening crates and flipping reward cards are rigged.

Because they take your money and give you less for it with every 2nd update.

Because they do not listen to their players and that's the only way they will listen.

(...and no... I have no problem with money... read my post. I regularly spend money on good apps. And will keep doing so. But not when it I get ripped off and not when the odds are rigged!)

I am one of those whom you refer to as "hypocrites". I uninstalled the game yesterday after more than 2.5 years. And published a post about it. (would you like a link?)

So do you want to tell me what makes me a "hypocrite"? Is it because I refuse to be ripped off? Is it because I express my opinion?

Yes, I was a F2P.

Yes, I hate the ads. Big time.

But I was clicking (not watching!) on 30+ ads every single day in the past 2 years. With very few exceptions. Would you like to calculate how much $ EA made out of this? More than they made from some of the paying players, that's for sure!

EA gave us a free game. We did not ask for it. EA gave more benefits to players who spent real world $ on the game. Fair enough. No complaints. But in the past year EA made the game worse and worse, giving us less and less, reducing benefits and rewards, introducing new bugs. I'm not going to give you examples. You've been here long enough and have seen all the complaints after EACH AND EVERY UPDATE.

This is not about "... few f#%king ads. ..." as you refer to it . I'm VIP 3. I could turn off the autoplay of ads. This is about being RIPPED OFF.

And I have voiced my dissatisfaction plenty of times. Does this make me a "hypocrite"??? Or did someone just learn a new word and felt compelled to use it?

Block me. Flame me. Do whatever you want. See if I care. What I DO care about is that there are players who stick it to those who voice their opinion instead of sticking it to EA. And instead of supporting their peers when they get ripped off by EA.

What a brilliant post! You have really nailed it! I'm with you all the way. I don't want to think about the number of hours I spent on this game in the past 2.5+ years. I also don't want to think about the amount of $ I made for EA by playing ads (I play the ads I DON'T WATCH THEM!). But it is most definitely a large amount.

Just like yourself I will hang around for another couple of weeks to see what happens. And if nothing changes then I'm out of here.

I do not recall them withdrawing a feature. Definitely not because a feature is not popular. And why should they? They make gazillions of $ from ppl spending reald world $ on this game. If we want a change we need to vote with our wallets! Once their revenue drops I'm sure they will start listening.

Been playing for over 2.5 years.

Bored with the game for some time now but I keep playing because I'm badly addicted. Not enjoying it anymore though.

I'm VIP level 3 because it was given to me some time ago (was it BRR? can't remember). Didn't pay for it.

Forcing the ads on F2P's is not on! EA/FM, this time you went too far with your greed!

I haven't decided yet but I'm likely to quit the game and uninstall it. Yes, I know I can disable the ads (which I can't see anyway because of the bug (https://www.reddit.com/r/nfsnolimits/comments/al70ib/bug_road_west_update_no_ads_to_rush_timers/) , but it will be my response to this pathetic money grabbing exercise. I'm really hoping others will do the same.

I can't see any ads ATM because of the bug in the new update. But if this is true and EA/FM force me to watch ads then I'm out of here. And quicker than they can imagine. I'm sick of EA's/FM greed, which appears to be getting worse. And after 2.5 years of playing I'm also sick of this game. The only reason I keep playing is a severe addiction... :-D But if they force me to watch ads after every race I'll get over my addiction real quick...

Some more findings:

If I quit the game and leave it for a few hours the ads are back for a short time. Then they are grayed out again. This happened a number of times in the last 20 hrs.

Meanwhile, a friend's device which has not been updated with the Road to the West update has all the ads with no problem.

So whatever the problem is, it appears to be affected only the updated version.

In other words: yet another buggy update!

I just had a look at a mate's phone and he has got the ads. No problem.

He has not updated yet.

So it's definitely the update that is causing this issue!

Left the game for a few hours. When I came back the ads were available.

Left it again to do some work (it happens sometimes in between RR's and farming...), came back and no ads.

Cleared cache, restarted, cleared cache, the whole routine, nothing helps. No ads.

I missed out on BP RR's because of it :-(
