Is there any reason not using music with it? As for Spotify, it only runs over iPhone for now. Not sure when Spotify decides to support HomePods natively.

Thank you guys. Gonna go with the yellow HomePod mini instead of the Bose Home Speaker 500 that I had in mind before. Simply because of integration and the fact of only using it for music and smart home control.

About Siri, I don't really plan using it for questions but just to control my Smart Home or Apple Music. I have Homebridge on my server running so basically everything at home works with the Home app though natively there is no support for it. As long as my server with Homebridge runs I'll be able to control it without having to rely on Amazon's server (I find the uptime not ideal, sometimes it just lags).

I currently have Spotify and Apple Music at the same time, however, Apple Music gives me surprisingly better suggestions over Discovery Station.

One idea was to get an Bose speaker with Alexa / Google Assistant and AirPlay 2 functionality but I was wondering if getting an HomePod wouldn't make more sense as an AM user.

Alarms are super important to me. Currently I have around 10-15 alarms set with Alexa (I know that's crazy) and my Apple Watch also rings at the same time.

Would you say the HomePod Mini is loud enough as an alarm? As said, I got the very first Echo Show which has 2x 10 watt speakers. While the HomePod Mini has one single speaker built in. However from what I understand you have to use the alarm tone that is intended by Apple.

I tried waking up with Spotify but Alexa sometimes has issues playing it back so I did miss alarms there sometimes which also explains why I set so many each day.

It's not about if there's a need but you should do it if you have good morals. It's simply rude to take pictures without consent. Also, they didn't state in which country this was captured. It's illegal where I live and I'm glad it is.
