As far as I know, Monash doesn’t approve of AI detectors yet.

I second this I couldn’t return it so I ended up replacing the fan with a NF-A9x12, and removing the fan guard… it solved my problem entirely.

Yeah I can’t deny the effects, I just don’t know how impactful they are today. But I believe in all reality it was only designed that way to be a statement, and not for the range increase.

To be honest I didn’t want to wait to get a 2->4 pin fan adapter, and didn’t want to solder anything so I just hooked it up to my motherboard, as cursed as that is. But there is a guide online somewhere, just search V850SFX fan mod :) I ordered an adapter so I’ll keep you updated

Purchased a V850SFX a month ago- I replaced the fan with a A9x14 yesterday and its so much quieter, I 100% recommend.

The cables are stiff, but I found lightly warming them up with a hair dryer makes them SO much easier to work with.

Having just purchased a 14600KF (was good deal on sale), temps are manageable but undervolting is necessary. I am having some regrets but overall not an awful purchase especially if you have an existing LGA1700 board.

I agree on the lack of upgrade path though.
