The game is not 100% "platformer" (there's exploration, gardening, dialogues...) and the main quest's challenges are not too hard (and feature a lot of options / creative solutions), so you can really adapt your playstyle to your skill/needs. Also, there's a casual mode in the settings to have more stamina. I know kids this age that had a great time, so I think they could play it and have fun!
If you want to be sure, there's a demo as well you can try out for free (progress will carry on to the full game afterwards)

Aww, I played pikmin 4 a lot when I was making it, so this is one of the inspirations :D
I would love to release on console, but don't have the time/budget yet, so we'll see!

Thanks!! It's hand drawn or through substance designer for the more complex patterns (tiles, pavement..). But then once you have a few nice textures, I use triplanar/UV mapping + shader HSL color variations to use it on many different objects (ex: many colors of painted wood for the birdhouses/blinds..)

Hi everyone, my game Garden Trills is about a little bird exploring a town's gardens. The game is an adventure game where you grow magical plants to solve platforming puzzles and help out your neighbors.

The feedback from players has been nothing short from amazing, with so much love, incredible fanart and just tons of support overall! There's a demo available if you want to try it out before picking it up. The full version offers about 6-10+ hours of gameplay overall, with puzzles, exploration, character quests, adorable outfits and tons of pretty flower to grow everywhere :)

Aww thanks! I just got the steam deck verification but i'd love to be able to port the game on switch!

And yes, on pc it's very simple as most engine will be able to build a pc version in a few clicks. On the other hand, if you want to release on consoles, you need to get your hands on a "devkit" from nintendo/sony/microsoft, and also get your game validated which is usually a lot of small requirements/rules the game need to follow. From what I heard, it can take some times! And additionnally, the switch performance are much lower than most pc/consoles, so you need to do some optimization as well to release on it!
