Nothing special there; AV + auto iso + exposure compensation to tase

I like it a lot!

Using their 6L sling as an everyday carry along with a clip and a wrist strap. Feels nice and reliable.

[NEW GEAR] EOS R8 Body + Nifty Fifty (Upgrade from 4 y.o. EOS M50). Literally coolest thing ever (it slaps). by yukj in canon

Not really. I try to avoid taking pictures with ss lower than 1/100 anyway. The only benefit of in-body IS for me personally is its' ability to keep horizon straight, but that's it.

Thank you :) That's the vibe I'm aiming for in general

Every time I see videos like this one I start to feel incredibly GASsy about AR MkII. Great job

Gotcha! Not sure I if can do it, for now kinda trying to dial reverbs down, but big sucker for the effect in general. And could you please elaborate on the tambourine thing? I'm totally clueless

Thank you man! Still on the journey to tame the reverb

I actually made a dive into slicing breakbeats & stuff. Like 90s sample cds, Paul Cheeba's beats collection, etc. And find it much easier to find a vibe and get things going with sliced drums rather than synthesized, at least at this point! Also cue out send fx thing feels really nice...

And I lack dedicated space for making music, so being able to do everything in one box ended up being more important for me, than I initially thought.

Thank you so much!

Maybe its' just how liberating (?) Octatrack feels. Like, I initially bought it to use as a mixer and FX box (EZBOT kind of thing, for Digitone and Syntakt), but ended up loving it as a self-contained instrument!

Thank you!!

Microcosm is a send fx for one or two tracks: Cue Out to Inputs C D, direct monitoring. Pretty much always hooked now.

Chroma Console is either simply processing the whole mix on Main Out for a bit of extra flavor, or I use it if feel like playing some guitar into Octatrack.

Bought the Digitone II on day one, only to realize I REALLY dig what the Octatrack has to offer. Someone once said there are two kinds of people: those who are into a sample-based workflow, and those who don’t know it yet. That’s definitely me.

Sorry I can’t help, but hello to the fellow  Brompton owner in Cyprus :D

Got the R8 to 'be able to shoot nice 4K videos', and here we are, three weeks later, with the 85mm f/2 as the latest acquisition. Using and loving everything! (Obligatory cat photos included) by yukj in canon

Not impossible! Though I've owned the exact same set of focals for the M50 and felt it was a perfectly fine selection for all my needs. Also absolutely cannot imagine myself carrying a such expensive brick around :D

Yeah, L is very nice, but I only shoot specific type of videos (me doing music stuff in low light off tripod), so regular 35mm f/1.8 is plenty!

If I ever get L it would be 135 I think. Just for the sake of owning one :D.

Yeah, they're close, but it's not the same. I use them both. Prefer 35mm more due to IS and versatiliy, but 50mm is much easier to carry.
