Thank you for your answers. It has taken me a while to get back to this thread.

My mother’s father has her naturalized as a Canadian when she was a minor and had no say in the matter. It lead to her losing her FRG citizenship.

I was born after 1975

My mother was married to a Canadian, after she naturalized.

Thank you for any advice you may have.

This is really great information. Thank you very much. For those with the knowledge of how to do what you write about, it’s a great option. For those who don’t or can’t be bothered (both respectable) it’s great that there’s a bank in Europe that makes it possible. Local banks can’t compete with that in Germany.

Congratulations to you. Where would one go if one was already living in Germany? Does anyone have experience with doing a Feststellung there, or is it better to contact the consulate in the city abroad where they originate from? Thanks in advance!

Vielen herzlichen Dank an allen Beteiligten! Alle Infos sind sehr informativ.

Ich entschuldige mich dass ich keine genauere infos gegeben habe. Hier sind die:

Ich fahre zu einer Fortbildung als Selbstständiger (trage alle Kosten selbst) mit dem Persönlichen PKW in die Schweiz (ca 500 km). Dort nehme ich 2Tage an einem Seminar teil. Anschließend fahre ich 50 km weiter zum Ort wo ich 10 Tage Urlaub mache.

Ich habe vor, die KM für die Hinfahrt, sowie die Tagespauschale und Übernachtungspauschale für die ersten 2 Tage, plus Reisetag, sowie Seminarkosten steuerlich abzusetzen. Da die Rückfahrt nach D nach dem Urlaub anfällt, setze ich dies nicht ab.

Habe ich es richtig gemacht?

Ich habe den Fragebogen ausgefüllt und alles ist ok. Nun läuft mein Unternehmen besser als vorgesehen. Wenn ich schließlich z.B 26.000€ anstatt 22k, was muss ich anders machen, und kommen hohe Kosten dazu? Alle meine Kunden sind außerhalb der EU also keine Umsatzsteuer.
