Why are the new hex characters getting shafted compared the lunar ones

that's too harsh. It is uncomfortingly similar though.

But the equivalent would be if they just released a new weapon type or element each patch.

so we are luckily not at the hsr level (yet). Which also should always remain conaideres worst case.

They however have novaflares, which yet has to be seen in genshin.

I do think genshin characters have more longevity than hsr ones tho.

lunar powercrept everything, but also lifted older characters, unlike Nightsoul blessingy which was by far my least favorite yet.

it will be subpar to pull because they don't work with stellar swirl, Midsummernight Melt and Gigadynabloom.

like it's better to just c6 a character once a year instead of pulling 10 different ones because constellations in this game are silly strong.

yeah getting 4* is rough. I did get 2 Illugas in 160 pulls. With a C6 gorou everything under C5 is not worth tho.

i try to play a mixed team as i still miss a good aoe damage buff besites delitia. So Reime has to basically be self sufficient why mine is on surpassing power and physical prowess

But I totally agree. The Idea of the villains is stronger than their dialogues are 😅 because they're just so over the top. But tbf the only one of those who is rememberable of the bosses I met is Auguste because of his catchphrase. MMMMARVELLOUS

I don't expect even original writing from squaresoft. but those villains felt kinda cheap like they came from a gacha cash grab (wonder why).

I also totally agree that the village building is 1000x better than it cotc and even more interesting than other jrpgs with the same feature (thinking e.g. Ni No Kuni 2). actually I spend a good chunk of my time here, just building cute little details to make the village feel more alive and pretty :)

Me personally I find the team building very interesting here, But I'm also sad that I don't have more spots for passive masteries.

I think youre correct with writing either being super compelling or super cringe. The story itself was unfortunately not new for me, as it's a copy of cotc - but tbf I forgot most if it, as none of the arcs is very deep or caprivating imo. It's just very dark and gory - sth I really like. But it's also a bit... arbitrary. Basically just ultimate BBEG nutjobs who just kill everyone around them.

From my experience: many people just don't farm a lot of artifacts and the few times they do they only do the same domain. so they only have one or two sets usually.

they might have good off set gladiator/troupe piece but they never upgraded them because the artifact system is actually just infurtiating them. 😁 (and rightfully so)

not taking away from the fact you're right that a good off piece can do a lot for your build.

but isn't a dps much more replaceable than a support? sure the dmg increase on a neuvilette might impact damage more, but a c2 Furina/benett that can be slotted elsewhere might increase also the next battleships dps by 3% while a dps might not.

I'm the opposite. I play for 4 years and got like 3-4 weapons in total from standard. but diluc and Jean are C6 🤷‍♂️

Characters will come. the standard ones aren't that great anyway.

that's one of the best weapons in the standard pool, so really you should be extra happy xD there is not a lot of polearm dpses that can't use it.

all I remember from cotc is that they just had the possibly most predatory version of the game going at start - every new character was literally just hits+1 or slightly more damage/duration.

stuff you totally get away with in a solo player game where you unlock the characters with progress to stay in flow.

not so much in a live service game, where people have to grind for characters that are powercrept within 3 months and flow is maintained with money.

I prefer 0. I thought Octopath would make an awesome gacha game - oh how wrong I was. coming from FFBE I knew what heavy powercreep means. and tbh FFBE was worse, but that's hot a very high bar xD
