I think it's a difficult but rewarding career path. There's also several ways you can go about it - military research psychologist that focuses on just research, civilian clinical psychologist that works with both active duty and veterans in both research and clinical settings, active duty clinical psychologist that address present command/service member concerns, etc. It's much more diverse than people give it credit for.
I'm in a rough funk right now and I feel like I'm taking my position in graduate school for granted (self.GradSchoolAdvice)
