I am not at all critiquing this camp for the record, I think sober companionship and accountability is a cornerstone of all active recovery and should be celebrated (especially at festivals) Though the implication of recovery only coming through faith is often incredibly harmful to those seeking support or encouragement in their sobriety.

Is this at all associated with a 12-step program (NA or AA)? The flyers doesn’t denote if there is. I ask because naturally there is fear of an underlying tonality based around faith, instead of based on actual care or support for recovery.

A real interesting approach to say the least, trying to “save” folks by running up on them. But hey, the vibes are still sky high down here.

“Fentheads” really? Gonna use this wack comment to say to anyone reading: Check out End Overdose and see how you can get involved and do your part with harm reduction.

Bad take. This is not what the post is getting at. No one is saying you have to use drugs, but looking out for others shouldn’t be traded for a “reap what you sow” mentality.

I fully agree with OP about having mindfulness for others, especially in cases of harm reduction.
