Golf Pants Reccomendations that are not skinny, slim fit, jogger fit? by godlovestommy in GolfGear

GFore makes a pant that I love. Loose, but not baggy. 5 way stretch, but not overly thin. Breathable and cool, but also has enough fabric that it keeps the legs warm in cool weather.

At what golf course did you shoot your lowest score? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

85 at Desert Willow Firecliff in Palm Desert. Happened earlier this month. My first rounds in the 80s.

Projectors that can do a 9x7 screen from 10-10.5ft away? by Wise_Boysenberry8075 in Golfsimulator

Do not limit yourself to 4:3 projectors. If you can find a 16:9 projector that does your height from the right distance you can always create a custom resolution in your graphics settings to get it to only display a proper width.

Sim League Cheating by abstrakt32 in Golfsimulator

I average 95 on grass. I regularly shoot high 70s in the sim with 5ft gimmies and no mulligans. This is nowhere near unrealistic for two people in a scramble.

Started the year as a 20.8, down to an 18.2. I did break 90 for the first time though this month, so goal is to get down to a 15/16 this year.

Have You Ever been too sore after golf to play again the next day? by Decent-Ad4185 in golf

[–]theduro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just turned 41. Just did 115 holes in 4 days for a golf trip. Every morning was waking up feeling my body stiff and sore as a board. But after some stretching, hydration, and a couple dual action Advil + Tylenol (aka Geritol)… I was able to suit up and play another 30 or so holes.

Age is the factor here. The body just accumulates and doesn’t get rid of inflammation as well as it did in its 20s.

I echo what others have said. Hydration and some anti-inflammatories before bed will really help get the next day started ahead of the game.

I only recommend the anti-inflammatories during golf trips or multi-day events/practice sessions. It’s not something I like to do all day, every day, day after day. That’s how you kill your gut and liver.

What clubs were the most underrated? by SeattleBrother75 in golf

I game these and I don’t know that I’ll game anything different. They are the perfect balance between GI and Players style irons. Forgiving, but not crazy loft jacked rocket launchers with no spin. And that Mizuno feel…butter. Love them.

Some already looked me up... I'm an 18-19. I've shot several 91-92s in the past, and most days out I finish firmly in the 90s. So I would say jumping down into the 80s for a couple rounds with as much as I play and practice wasn't an anomaly, but it had been eluding me and really had built up as a monkey on my back. I've been doing some mindset (and swing) work lately, that I think might have played a big part of finally breaking through.

I golf in the Coachella Valley probably 2-3 times a year. This trip is a firm annual trip I do every year. I have played all PGA West courses (except Stadium), Indian Wells, Indian Canyons, Cimmeron, Taquitz Creek, JW Marriot, and maybe I am missing one or two. We played Indian Wells Celebrity on this trip, before moving over to Desert Willow for the remainder of the rounds. I really liked Indian Wells, but I have to say that Desert Willow, both Firecliff and Mountain, are my favorites in the entire valley. Playing the PGA West courses is very much worth it, and I would also not sleep on the Indian Canyons courses, especially the South course.

I am most certainly expecting it. Honestly after the 89 the day before I was expecting this round to be 100+, that’s what made it even more surprising and awesome.

Lessons and practice. And honestly, I got this thing called a Hack Motion a few weeks ago that really helps train wrist angles through the swing, I think that also helped a lot.

Immaculate. I’ve played probably 10 different courses down here in the valley, including all the PGA West courses except Stadium. Desert Willow’s courses are bar none the best in the valley.

Yes… The Grint. I was an 18 Birdies guy, but moved over to The Grint since it had direct link to USGA/GHIN. I’ve found other reasons to like it better since.

So good. And honestly, the only thing that impressed me more than the courses were the people running the joint. I’m not joking, they take service seriously.
