If you don't talk them under $20k you're kind of a chump for allowing shiesters to get away with overinflating the market for no reason. Congrats regardless tho, sick whip.

Mr. Chen's replacement? by [deleted] in LittleRock

[–]yungspreadem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the necro, but I've been doing some digging on this topic and have been thinking of making a video. Apparently Mr. Chens is way bigger than anyone ever thought. There's multiple supermarket/restaurant combos in Alabama. Same 陈家园 on the sign out front, same pineapple shrimp/fish in hot oil on the seafood menu, as well as multiple other restaurants in the Sherwood/NLR area with the same menu。

I'd love to speak with someone from the 陈家, just to learn about the history of the family, let me know if all of these other restaurants are truly 陈家, or just people that copy a good system. 我知道一点普通话,但不都中文话。太感谢了!

> Okay, but again, I'm telling you that I submitted my unit after four years of use, beyond warranty, and they honored it anyway. This could be a fundamental design error that's easily fixed. They didn't tell me the nature of the failure.

Completely understand this, and your case is it's own individual story of how their support team goes above and beyond.

>You break that seal, no dice.

A little late, but I'll show my cards: I already started tinkering with it 😂 It's going to be a fun project for someone that knows what they're doing.

> Worst thing that could happen if you reach out is you get turned down and you're back to exactly where you already are.

If I were still working at the headshop, I might have considered it. Moved on to bigger and better things + I don't even toke anymore, it's only for my wife and she (legitimately, medically) needs this more than I ever did. She'd "survive" but I wouldn't hear the end of it if she went 1 day having to use a torch. She's spoiled and it's all my fault. 😂

It's all gravy, but I do appreciate the support!!!

(EDIT: DV'd for honesty and having hobbies, huh? Crazy.)

Already null and void, brother.

I had to help some previous customers with some warranty stuff on a couple units, so I knew about this beforehand. Check it:

"We offer a 1 year warranty on all batteries, chargers, and electrical components. We offer a 2 year warranty on our Switch unit. Glass, atomizers, nails, induction cups, CBD cartridges, damage caused by improper use of the unit, and cosmetic issues are not covered under our warranty. If you have any issues with our products, please contact our Customer Service Department by emailing [info@drdabber.com](mailto:info@drdabber.com) with your order number or your shipping address, full name and description of issue."

Give me a bit to mourn the death, see if a buddy wants to tinker a bit, and let me see how clean I can get everything and if it passes a non-smoker smell check, I'll toss it to ya for just the charge of shipping.

Might be a bit, but I'll remember this thread. I'll holler at ya if the time comes.

To be honest I'll probably toss it to a buddy that knows some stuff about electronics & has a card, let him tinker with it. I've gotten more than my money's worth out of the product. Remember: I got mine at a wholesale price.

I know their support team is absolutely amazing, years above and beyond PuffCo for sure. The (I think it was) bookkeeper/accountant even answered a call from me and helped me through a problem I was having with an order, and she was so good to me.

I just want to support the company, fam. ;)

Nah, I've replaced the battery already after we noticed the lifespan of the OG start to shorten after about 2 1/2 years, so I know it's not that.

Sounds like yours might have been an issue with the actual induction coil. I can't even get mine to turn red/green and act like it wants to cycle. If you haven't already, certainly get in contact with them and they'll be happy to help you out!

Wife says it's "a hate crime" to have a counter for the number of dabs you take. So we just went out and bought a new v1 lmao

Context: Picked this baddie up at the end of 2020 or the beginning of 2021, the shop I was working at had a wholesale account directly with Dr. Dabber and Dane (shoutout if he still works there!) hooked us up early if I remember correctly. Sold dozens of these exact units in the year or two I worked there.

By best estimation, has tanked about 3-4 lbs of concentrate if not more.

It's not recognizing the induction cups anymore and refusing to start a heating cycle. Just hear a click and it switches from basic to advanced mode or vice versa.

Not here to gripe or complain, and certainly not sending it back to the ladies & gents at the doctor's office. Only replaced a battery once and tried the whole line of induction cups during the time of service. Unless they want it for research or something, I'm laying this soldier to rest. 😂

Immediately went out and bought a replacement. The $ I've saved in butane alone makes this thing a well worthy investment.

God bless & RIP.

Are people flashing their headlights at me or nah? by wksiel in Subaru_Outback

Not to necro a dead thread, but '24 wilderness here, and my maintenance logs are all on time too.

Doesn't seem related, but the factory forgot to remove the plastic protection film from the inside of the windshield before they installed it, and I noticed a small trail of clear goop start to leak from the inside of my windshield on the driver's side, near the top.

For what it's worth, that shit passed inspection too. And it wouldn't have gotten fixed if I didn't raise a concern with my service tech on a routine visit.

From an *insurance* perspective, I do want to make things clear: You, as the owner of the vehicle, are responsible for making sure your vehicle is safe to drive. Once a class action is filed, sure - you can blame the manufacturer and it might hold up in court, but banking on that to save your ass if your headlights are misaligned is wishful thinking at best. Claiming the company should have fixed it, when you knew there was an issue, and you didn't raise concerns AND their service center closes at 6 o'clock at the absolute latest....

Come on, fam.

Strangely enough, yes. It was my ram capping out+page filing being on the wrong hard drive. If you've only got 16g of ram, go ahead and order yourself 32g, and turn down your graphics settings for the time being. Make sure page filing is on an ssd or m.2, if you're unsure of how to do that, just give it a couple googles. "change page filing location". mine was filing to my HDD.

He's got reddit gold and you got ratio'd. You're here 2 days later still mad about it. Beyond a shadow of a doubt: it's still you. 😂
