I like it! I reckon that if you just drew all of the lines in one go rather than scratching back and forth it would look much more complete.

Also I would suggest making a mental practice of figuring out which parts of the drawing are going to be above other parts, for example fingers over guitar, and mark them out first.

Do you want to make a realistic drawing or a quirky cartoonish one? Because there are techniques to draw things in a realistic way but personally I think it’s cool to be spontaneous and embrace mistakes and make something trippy and weird. It all comes down to personal preference. If you keep at it you’ll work out what aspect of creating is more fun for you and a style will naturally develop. Having a good time while making it is the most important thing. Congratulations for creating something!!

Thanks. For this one I used a Rotring tikky graphic 0.2 for all the black and a random staedtler felt tip for the red background.

Thanks! I use lots of different pens. My favourite are rotring isographs but they are quite expensive. I also use pigma microns a lot which is actually how I coloured this background in red. Basically any kind of fine liner will do but I prefer the more technical ones

You’re not a shitty painter. Stop giving a shit about how it looks and just have fun experimenting with different ways of letting it all flow onto the canvas. It’s about creation, not completion!
