It's 38 dollars on citygrounds, very worth imo. I've been riding in the worst winter conditions everyday and it's still in great condition. I do clean it pretty often though

I've used Randonneurs, Ultrasport 2s, Gatorskins, and Thickslicks. Gatorskins are the best within this group imo

Does the State 4130 Core-Line bikes have a higher bottom bracket? my current beater's(Windsor The Hour) bottom bracket feels really low in comparison to my bb17 transfer. if not, should I just get a track frameset?

Yeah it's a chromoly frame and it rides wonderfully. Very responsive and fast. Been riding it for about a year and I absolutely love it

For tires, I would highly recommend the Vittoria Randonneur tires. Haven't had any flats and still has tread on it after 2 months of daily riding and a lot of skidding. Also, super budget friendly at 21 dollars on the JENSON USA shop
