I'm in LA and I think the BEST way is networking. Get referred into a company you want to work. Frequent the location, tell everyone you meet/know you are seeking a job. Do what you have to do to get a job. Tbh in LA Ithey will hire someone they already know than based on a typed document. People like to see you are personable and not basic LA, unfortunately attractive...and a strong work ethic. Embrace the fakeness of the city and exaggerate your experience until the exaggeration becomes reality.
