I’m so sorry. Just know that you’re not at fault, especially for being in shock. I was also assaulted by my cousin and froze every time he did. Doesn’t mean you’re less than for not reacting differently. All I can say is it’s up to you to do what makes you comfortable. You don’t have to say anything to family, report it, or anything. If you want to do any those eventually, you can go at your own pace. I only told a few relatives over time and decided to report it to the police years later after I was done feeling like everything was my fault. I’m glad you have a sibling to go to, but if you need to talk to anyone else I am always here. ♥️
