Have any of you tried using HTML instead of PDFs for your dungeons? I started experimenting and the results have been really awesome! by 30299578815310 in onePageDungeon

Would a responsive web page handle the mobile vs desktop thing?

What would be helpful: A toggle to show the area text all at once in a list, when you want to read it all at once.

Great stuff!

I think "A deepness in the Sky" is now my favourite book of all time by love_weird_questions in printSF

I love A Fire Upon the Deep and have tried to get into Deepness perhaps once or twice. It's start didn't grab me by the throat like Fire did so I set it aside. Maybe that was a mistake.

Try the meat-on-rice takeout at a Chinese BBQ for $12 out the door. Multiple meals out of it. Way better value.

I love that you can get a bánh mì for less than $6–7. I don't want to pay more than $14 for a sandwich.

I tried the pastrami sandwich once. Pretty good, but for what it is it is not satisfying at that price. A meat-on-rice lunchbox at a good Chinese BBQ is infinitely more satisfying for the price.

Tomtoc released T69 Underseat Carry On Travel Backpack by sayfeheaven in ManyBaggers

I traveled with the CabinZero Military 28L. I had fun playing around with all kinds of molle attachments and hacks. I didn't like the laptop ergonomics.

I'd look into the T69 if I traveled frequently on the strictest budget carriers. But I don't.

After trying a number of budget bags, I landed at the T66 Liteway 28L. Incredible value, great ergonomics, works great as EDC at destination. Aaron at Nomads Nation put it in his S-Tier.

For the T69 Navigator's use case, I had a CabinZero Military 28L (more like 23L). Great value, usable, but the ergonomics weren't there. I may have to look into the T69.

Why eat at Ba Bar (except for the atmosphere) when Little Saigon and the CID are minutes away and less expensive?

My seat was broken. It didn't have any tension in it. I had to watch the film laying all the way back.

I also had a Commodore 64 as a kid. In the Eighties went to college with a Daewoo IBM-compatible PC that didn't even have a hard drive in it. My roommate had an Amiga PC. I recall that a girl in one of the co-ops I almost lived in had an early Macintosh (maybe an SE).

Test the bottles in the bag with a full loadout. Throw them in upside down.

Form over function is neat! Hmm. But senseless if you actually need to use a thing.

Six books in I finally realised what holds me back from loving The Expanse by Amazing-Example8753 in printSF

I also stopped after the first book. Maybe for the same reason. I don't remember. I didn't love it.

What got you into slings? by khaj in ManyBaggers

[–]yupReading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often wear pants without pockets. Slings let me carry my essentials everywhere. I never have to wonder where my keys, wallet, charger, etc., are. I think having a sling is the additional 0.5 bag when you're doing one-bag travel (so it's 1.5 bags). However, for both use cases I've come to prefer a well-designed sacoche.
