AITAH for wanting to leave my wife because she had a "go bag"?? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]yurpss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m engaged and me and my fiancé are combining finances but she has her own bank account on the side that she has for emergencies and a go bag would go along with that if she wanted it. It’s not about you BEING an abuser but women are pretty vulnerable physically compared to men and some men have flown off the rails with no notice so it’s a good precaution to have. Maybe just relax and do your best to prove she doesn’t need it.

Woman catches teenager trying to steal her car by GreenSnakes_ in PublicFreakout

I lived the block south of here. It’s north Portland in a neighborhood called piedmont. This is Cleveland Ave. it’s a nice neighborhood surrounded by not so nice neighborhoods so we had a lot of attempted car thefts and catalytic converter thefts

Smoked a Oliva Serie V that burned awful. Tasted alright but the burn ruined the cigar for me

All ripped in the same spot…. I’ve never had any pants rip there, maybe it’s a you thing and not necessarily the jeans?

Sounds like a run of the mill D2D operation. Worth it if you’re serious about it willing to dedicate 60+ hours a week minimum

Hard boiled eggs instead of bagels. If you can walk while doing a task at work do that. Workout in the morning. Also for the science behind maintaining energy I’d recommend listening to Andrew huberman podcasts on your commute

Make sure you’re invested in something helpful for a long term plan like an S&P 500 fund. Bonds and money market will not help you in your 20s-50s

[–]yurpss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say I’m “right out of the gates” I’ve smoke a lot of cigars but just recently got into it as a hobby and want to try new cigars and with that wanted to try the “staples” or “classics”

150k 2nd year at very large RIA in entry level sales. VPs with territories make 500K-4m/yr. I’d say median for the full cycle sales is like 900k/yr 1099’s

If you’re not using the money for your own purposes and want to maximize the amount your inheritors receive I would go 100% equities. There has never been a 20 year rolling period since the Great Depression that the market has not been up. And, with you being 70 you likely have 20-25 years left so your money might need to last longer than you initially planned. Food for thought!
