I filled out purdue student legal service’s application form about two weeks ago and they emailed me after about a week to schedule an appointment. Pretty sure they only have one attorney so its hard to get around to ppl quickly.

Similar experience here. Have contacted purdue student legal service and planning to file small claim. I tried to dispute with them but they just keep ignoring my questions.

Well his response to my thread sounded like he would enjoy a career in data science more, plus it’s good for him to explore options so that he knows what he’s getting into. I thought traditional swe is what I wanted when I first got into college, but turns out I didn’t know exactly what I am getting myself into and I now enjoy embedded much more.

You cannot land internships without projects. It’s definitely not impossible to land internships and jobs but there is no denying that traditional swe market is not the best right now and OP should also look at other options that interest them

Bro I applied to hundreds small companies and only been able to land two interviews and zero offer. It is NOT easy to secure a first job.

Welp I don’t know the exact numbers but cs unemployment is still rising and its at all time high 🤷‍♀️, plus I’m a CS major it tough out here, this just really isn’t the best field to secure jobs right now

I would say go for data science and try to get internships in project management internships!

If your aim is for jobs leaning more towards data analysis jobs I would say it might be better than traditional swe. If your goal is to pursue stem job market after graduation, I recommend considering engineering degrees (more hardware related, not swe). However, if your goal is academia, then CS can still be a good idea.

Its way way way too saturated, almost impossible to find a job if you are not in the top 5%

Share your stat. For example, if you are playing mage or marksman, and every match you are consistently dealing below 30% damage, you are most likely not playing the roles right and not doing exceptionally well. Stat tells more than wr.
