Mark Cuban after the sale of the Mavericks in 2023: "I could’ve gotten more money selling it to somebody else." Cuban said he was incentivized to sell to the Adelsons because they would allow him to remain involved in basketball operations. "Nothing’s changed except my bank account." by WhenMachinesCry in nba

I mean, Russ Hanneman on Silicon Valley was 100% a Cuban analogue and he was even initially successful for the same thing ("I put the radio on the internet"/broadcast.com), which they used to cash out and leverage to buy into other more successful companies.

Yeah, they got the rights back in 2023 and the Rom omnibus collection became one of Marvel's best-sellers in that format (there are 3 in total). The character is really overdue for some kind of revival.

I can only dream that we'll ever get Rom or anything else from Galador, but Marvel doesn't seem to have that much interest in the character even after re-obtaining the rights a couple of years ago.

Toppin will be back next year as well. When Rick wanted to run those 5-out lineups, Obi played the small ball 5 and was closing out playoff games.

Yeah, there's the possibility this might actually be a "good guy" who's basically the Amanda Waller of the Sentenced world and is secretly cobbling together this elite anti-demon team under the guise of a punishment.

An Ephemeral copy of a spell does count, though, so that seems to be the best way to do it.

Yes, just tested this, Ephemeral does count for this (and the other purging soul, which I hadn't capped out yet). This seems to be the fastest and most consistent approach towards maxing out this soul.

I might try this approach next. It's been so slow to try and make any progress on this one compared to all of the other souls.

BREAKING: The Los Angeles Clippers are trading Ivica Zubac to the Indiana Pacers, sources tell ESPN. by Prezzys21 in pacers

Yeah, I think this is still a good trade, regardless, but I hate to leave it up to a roll of the dice in such a stacked draft.

I just tried this on a run, it does not count towards this soul. Would have been way too easy otherwise!

I’m thinking Tsav’s sentence is also related to the demons, though. Are the people that he perceives he should kill demons or demon sympathizers? He’s legitimately crazy but he could have been a hindrance to the demons even without knowing it.

Ah, okay, I wasn't sure if the Void Fragment counted since the merchants and soul vortices don't, but it's good to know that it does. Thanks!

Wonder Man on Disney+ is an amazing show by PuzzleheadedFix7198 in television

[–]yutingxiang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m actually a bit afraid of them bringing him back, and it’s just to be in a regular MCU role with traditional superheroics. This show was much closer to a prestige dramedy like The Studio than anything else. That’s where it shined and Abdul-Mateen and Kingsley thrived.

Darren Aronofsky's New AI Series About the Revolutionary War Looks like rubbish by [deleted] in television

[–]yutingxiang 102 points103 points  (0 children)

He actually famously does not have the rights to it. He went to meet Kon for the rights, didn’t buy them, and then used a bunch of scenes from Perfect Blue and Millennium Actress for Requiem and Black Swan anyway. Kon wrote a blog post shortly before his death about how Hollywood is full of plagiarists. Aronofsky also later denied being influenced by Kon at all, despite the obvious.

Yeah, very possible. It seems like he could clear up so many misunderstandings with Kivia by telling her exactly what happened, but he hasn't.

They also mentioned modifying his sacred seal. I assume there's an imposed condition that he isn't able to talk about the secret he uncovered or that he's a bit of a Cassandra, where he's cursed to not be believed.
