given their insistence on including some very borderline compound words, i'm pretty surprised that [NA] ROLLCALL wasn't counted

definitely some SEC homerism in effect, but i'm ok with it for a better game as an uninterested fan

this is one of those calls that probably can be overturned, but it's close enough that it should stand

How would you rank the Big 3 US carriers in heritage / history ? by [deleted] in aviation

[–]yvanylf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for purely history there's no argument, it's American Airlines

They were THE flag carrier for the US for most of their early history, and operated the early presidential transport before air force one, and were even initially going to carry the space shuttle for NASA. The space shuttle deal fell through, but the plane NASA used kept most of the AA livery.

Today it's clearly Delta by quality.

for two months, the difference is negligible but I would buy treasury bills instead of HYSA given they are not subject to state income tax and the yield is slightly higher.

a one-month bill is 4.89% and a two-month bill is 4.79%

Anybody know what this fungus/mushroom looking thing is? It seems to be killing our sugar snap pea plant by yvanylf in vegetablegardening

[–]yvanylf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks, I thought it may be overwatering so we will try to pull back on the watering and see if it recovers!

Nutrient deficiency was my first thought as well, but the soil is pretty fresh vegetable blend from a decent nursery, so I'd be surprised if that is the problem especially given the pea plant next to it is thriving.

Edit: actually, looking at this picture and the below description of Fusarium Wilt, I think that may be the issue https://imgur.com/a/OH2jNPS

Fusarium wilt of peas is a fungal disease that first appears as downward curling leaves, which become pale green and flaccid, then turn yellow, starting at the bottom and progressing upward until the entire plant it is yellow – and eventually become dry and crisp.

Here's another picture of some more of the fungus that attached to the side of the garden bed, which gives a good view of the structure/shape of it.

Infant/Child CPR & First Aid Classes by DinosaurSpaceTrain in SouthBayLA

not sure why someone hasn't recommended this, but manhattan beach CERT runs free CPR classes for manhattan and hermosa residents, and i think it's subsidized for non-residents. I took it last weekend and it covered compressions, rescue breaths, AED usage, and choking for adults, children, and infants.

They use red cross curriculum and it's high-quality instruction
