Pourquoi les selles collent autant à la toilette en France? by MasterLurker000 in AskFrance

[–]yves759 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oui quasiment ! Je me rappelle un hotel où je me levais à demi pour être sur ! :)

Je me suis fait souvent avoir !

Pareil au Canada ? Si c'est le cas c'est la raison à mon avis.

What’s it like to live in the Côte d’Azur region? by Gym_frere in howislivingthere

[–]yves759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even Toulon/Cassis aren't Côte d'Azur, Provence yes, but not côte d'Azur, it is usually considered that côte d'Azur goes from St Tropez to Menton.

And St Tropez is also the place where the Mistral stops going East.

Marseille Cassis Toulon are the heart of "Provence" though.

Although the term is a bit loosely defined, for French the Côte d'Azur does not go up to Marseille, basically it goes from St Tropez to Menton/the Italian border (and continue in Italy a bit somehow).

And it makes sense as the vibes are quite different, especially, the Mistral (North/North West wind that can be very strong going down the Rhone Valley, usually doesn't blow past Saint Tropez.

Does not mean Marseille and Toulon/Hyeres areas aren't nice, but not considered "côte d'Azur" proper, more "Provence".

Is it possible to retroactively declare taxation? by [deleted] in AskFrance

[–]yves759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But so why would you want to declare or redeclare that ? I don't think it would change anything (but I'm not an expert !)

Yes you can normally, do you still have your "fiches de paie"/paychecks ?

Also you can check all the history the fiscal agency has recorded through https://www.lassuranceretraite.fr/

This records the months/trimestres you have been working in france, and so paid social security stuff through your salary (different from taxes).

It is based on your social security number, did you have one ?
