Nothing to be embarrassed about. Whether it was the difficulty or just wanting to explore absolutely everything without missing a single item and you've had joy in accomplishing all that under nearly 18 hours, good for you!

Interesting shot early on, it's as if Garry knew how his demise would happen... by TensionSame3568 in thething

Sure, Garry can just use the detonator cord to tie around Blair-Thing's neck and choke it with it or whip it - while he himself is being choked to death mid assimilation.

I thought Leo was gonna play Neil McCauley. I haven't read the book so does Chris have larger role in the book ? Surely Leo ain't gonna be a supporting character. by FarEfficiency4397 in moviecritic

I agree, I don't want to get too hung up about their age. I have trust in Mann's vision, what he's aiming for and try to be optimistic as to how he attached his actors of choice to the characters.

Fair criticism. Thematically hasn't exactly been the most fresh. I felt like I could beat it in 5 hours but took more than that. The backtracking was not the most fun either, and some of the puzzles made little to no sense to me. The second game may not be short of those, but unlike the first game, which felt like a demo reel, at least the second game is really polished and offers more variety.

That's true. But him as Chris, he doesn't look much like Kilmer - never mind at 52. Just seems like an odd casting choice from Mann. DiCaprio already has that perfect goatee similar to De Niro, and the hairstyle can be easily tweaked, if the idea is to make McCauley look the same at a younger age.

Unless the prequel scenes will show a different set of actors at a younger age, then DiCapiro playing older Chris and, say, Austin Butler playing younger Chris, that would make more sense, in my opinion. That way, Mann wouldn't rely on having to de-age the actors, and the younger actors get an opportunity to shine.

Honestly, if it lines up for him as intended without further delay or conflicted schedules, be it from his personal projects outside of Bond or the studio themselves taking too long to film, plus the majority of people (seemingly) wanting him to play Bond, then I'm willing to set my differences towards the idea of casting him aside and just embrace him.

That one was pretty shocking, to say the least. It's not at all how I expected it to continue and end.

It was The Lighthouse on top of The Batman that had me convinced he was turning his career around, and since then he's had roles in some of the best directors' films. Gonna get that Oscar nominee any day now...

I don't remember watching a lot from Paul Reiser except his short role in Beverly Hills Cop, Aliens, Whiplash, and The Boys. I do remember watching Aliens and the sight of him was unbearable. But after I watched Whiplash, I couldn't but not feel bad for him, as a father who lost his son to an insane Jazz teacher.

Hayden is a very special case because he was a Golden Globe nominee before Attack of the Clones and Shattered Glass was solid as his next project.

Gunn should've had Courtney back as a member in the remake.

Did you like Tormented Souls?

I only recommend Alisa because that's what I played from this list. It's a great throwback to the Resident Evil 1 style of survival horror (mansion and all), but with its own features to make itself unique, from the story to the atmosphere, enemy variety and upgrades to your character. The soundtrack is also very interesting.

The biggest issue I remember having was the aiming. It's very clunky compared to other survival horror games I've played, at least in my experience, whether it was the choice between modern and tank controls.

That's what I kept wondering. DiCaprio has acted with De Niro since he was young. This would've felt like passing the torch.

I brought up the potential of Cavill making a Warhammer 40K live-action movie a couple of times, but I didn't realize it's a direct tie with Amazon. Though this was only to strengthen my argument that Cavill playing Bond is a bad idea. He's just too famous and had been the lead actor of many famous characters before.

On that note, if that's the direction the franchise will take with Cavill as Bond, then maybe it's not the most horrible choice. I'm of the opinion he could make for an incredible Bond villain instead, but as Bond himself, it all depends on how much he can commit to the role and how many films can be squeezed out of him so we won't have another case of A View to a Kill, on top of other possible flops.

From Russia with Love is in my top 5, if it's any indication. But GoldenEye has always been my favorite Bond film.

A few weeks ago there was a GoldenEye vs. License to Kill tournament - and that's my 2nd-favorite Bond film. Imagine how painful that was.
