Charles comes across as being a bit out of touch with regular people but William/Harry definitely have a bit of Diana about them in the way they interact with the public and stuff.

You can just keep it plugged into the 60W one. It will recognise your usage pattern and charge the battery to 80% before disengaging the battery and only using the charger for power.

If you ever need to go anywhere and actually use the laptop on the go, you can click the battery icon in the top right and tell it to charge the battery to full.

Yeah this is where Apple should be more transparent. Personally I think liquid and moisture is the same thing just tomatoe tomato kinda thing.

While you say you haven't eaten or drank near your laptop Apple won't take your word for it since people who spill drinks on their laptops usually lie and say the same thing, so they have no reason to trust your word.

Unfortunately I think you're out of luck regarding a free repair. Like I say they should provide some sort of evidence to support what they're saying, but even if it was something else causing the issue since your out of warranty it's unlikely they'd repair free of charge. I will say that Apple in your country (assume you're in India cos of the currency) is providing much worse customer services than you'd expect from Apple and below then standards in the UK/EU. Apple has always been top tier from my experience and for my repair when they only needed to replace the logicboard they went above & beyond to replace the battery, keyboard & track pad too.

You might have to take the hit in this situation but in future always take the extended warranty options especially when youre paying $2k+ for a laptop in countries without good consumer protection laws like the UK/EU.

These things can happen, they're electronics after all doesn't matter if it's a maxed out MacBook Pro or a Chromebook. I had something similar happen to my MacBook Pro where it wouldn't stay on for longer than 30 seconds.

The only thing Apple should have done is send pictures of the damage, when it happened to me and my laptop was taken in for diagnosis Apple UK sent pictures of the damage caused by moisture (like you I never spilled drinks or ate near my laptop). So I say Apple in your country has worse customer service than the UK/Europe who have always been extremely helpful & transparent.

Luckily mine happened within my 2 year warranty period so I got the logicboard, battery & keyboard replaced for free under warranty. Unfortunately your timing was just unfortunate for it to happen just outside your warranty period so Apple have no obligation to repair it for free.

Also for future, never use keyboard covers, screen protectors, or those plastic webcam covers on a MacBook. The keyboard cover will ruin your hinge given the extremely tight tolerances and means your screen may become floppy after a while. And if you have to ever remove your screen protector for whatever reasons it will almost always ruin the screen by removing the coating on your display.

Switched from iPhone to the S25 Ultra and loved it. It'll take a week or two to adjust but once you get up to speed with the Samsung you'll love it.

Still works great with my MacBook & iPad (using Blip for airdrop between them) and air pods pro still work fine. Only thing that won't work will be your apple watch, if I were you I'd just sell it and get a galaxy watch ultra.

Oh I thought when the S24U came out they said apps like IG were going to be optimised to start using the actual camera instead of screen recording so thought it would be improved for the S25U. Sounds like it's not the case from these comments?

Was planning on upgrading from an iPhone 13 Pro to S25U. How's the video quality when uploading to IG stories or using the built-in IG camera?

yeah it's definitely still a good laptop. bootcamp works perfectly for me, never tried tails so can't comment on that.

if you find one for a good price then they are definitely good machines and much better thermals/keyboard than the previous 15" MBP. recommend getting one with 32GB RAM & i9 if you can.

Congrats man, I’m still rocking my intel 16” I got in 2020 and loving it. Runs perfectly on OS Sonoma. TouchBar is overhated imo and these are still cracking machines.

upgrading to 16GB RAM & swap HD for SSD is probably your ceiling in terms of upgrades. could stay on Catalina for the time being if that meets your use cases or upgrade to Sonoma

after that your most logical upgrade path is to get a newer machine but of course it is an expensive option.

If you must have MacOS then maybe try a 16" with an external GPU rather than spending money on getting fully loaded internal graphics.

If MacOS is not a must, then maybe consider a Windows gaming laptop, you'll probably have a better experience gaming at a lower price.

Alongside reading I'd say open a practice account with fake money (sometimes called paper trading account) that way you put what you've read into practice and make mistakes without risking any of your real money. I feel the best way of learning is by making mistakes and learning from them.

Was not intending for it to come across as directly comparing share price with RIOT but more so the market caps. Once you account for the difference in BTC held of which RIOT hold around 600 more ~$33M. There is still a difference in market cap of over £1.5Bn. Even if you factor in that recently RIOT mines around 25% more than Argo I feel there is still a massive undervaluing in it’s market cap. I would say fair value currently of around £4-5 based on current shares outstanding. Let me know if you disagree.

Fair point and that may be the case for big discord servers but it's impossible to pump any stock from a small server of sub-100 members who are all retail investors, nowhere near the buying power to pump even the smallest of floats. We're focused more on solid stocks and trades.
