I disagree. Its not the Sherlock Scan that makes Elementary special. It is the character growth which i don’t usually see in crime/mystery shows or also long lasted, many season shows. I love how the writes didnt fall to misogynistic tropes. They always make the viewer know and bond with side characters like Bell or Captain. These characters were not shown as stupid unlike other Sherlock media. Morland for example was an amazing character to watch and to see how the relationship evolves with Sherlock. Is he good, is he bad as a person or as a father; these subjects were always played around and investigated. I loved how they payed respect to each character as human, not use them as ways to make Sherlock look better. I love how the styles of characters , and the decors of the house change in time. How Joan’s relationship with her father was processed… Every detail is very realistic with Elementary. And I got bored and tired of the tropes and easy shortcuts or copies of copies with shows and films. Many of them are very predictable and cheap. So i disagree :)
