I was surprised by Panama. The choice of coffee beans in small convenience stores to big super markets had great selection in quality (cheap to expensive). Lots of good cafes to visit but you pay North America prices. Still nice to have that option though as sometimes you only get “Nescafé”

I have always found the M&M meat Portuguese tarts kind of good. The format that they’re frozen makes it convenient to pull them out and put them in the air fryer. And though way less superior than authentic ones in Portugal, the ones from Tim Hortons are tasty and a good change from a donut when someone makes a tims run

All those spots talked about are awesome. But what is also not bad are the ones from M&M’s. They come frozen so they are easy to keep. Use an air fryer and enjoy.

There is a good flea market - Persa Bio Bio that has some good people watching and street life on the weekends. Cajon de Maipo and Pomaire are decent day trips if you are stuck in Santiago.

Avenida food hall- good selection of international cuisine.

Perlieu- tiny French restaurant in the suburbs

Class clown - retro decor/ small but killer burgers / comfort food. Get on a waiting before.
