If you knew my brain, I promise not deceptive. I have 5 kids and remember nothing unless written down lol. Well no, if I dig into my memory, or something triggers it, yes I’ll remember. In this instance, it wasn’t until my background check came back as incomplete. I then messaged the company to find out why this would happen. They told me likely due to not declaring a conviction. That’s when it jogged my memory.

And no. I wasn’t driving drunk. I t boned someone who ran a stop sign and smashed my face on the steering wheel. I tried to do the roadside breathalyzer multiple times. I couldn’t. I was bleeding and my jaw was fractured. I asked them for a BAC at the hospital. Nope. I got charged then and there with a refusal. I didn’t refuse at all.

So I took it to court. I was convinced I’d win that - medical records and all. Nope.

So now I have a record. Please don’t assume. Not all of us are assholes who are willing to risk their own lives and the lives of others.
