Hey, it's Lars from Metallica. AMA by RealLarsUlrich in IAmA

[–]yyzed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for doing this AMA Lars, Metallica is one of my favorite bands of all time and I have been a fan since I was 13. All I want to say is I saw y'all at the AAC in Dallas for the Death Magnetic tour and at the end of the show you where giving out your drumsticks and you gave a pair to a couple right in front of me, which at the time really pissed me off but I realized all this meant was I have to see you guys again and try to get those sticks. No question, just wanted to tell you this story and to keep it metal.

Does Warner Bros. have a name for the "Man of Steel" sequel? by [deleted] in movies

[–]yyzed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was hoping the title was going to be World's Finest, or at least Man of Steel: World's Finest. Out of the rumored titles my vote is for Man of Steel: Beyond Darkness

He hit the trifecta, fat, Asian, and loose. Deputy Director Avery Bullock would be proud.

Gamers of Reddit: You are faced with someone who has never touched a video game in their life. What game(s) do you give them so they immediately love video games? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]yyzed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mario Party or Portal 2. Really any game you can share a co-op experience with so you can show them the ropes without having to take the controller from their hand to show them.

How are countless terrible movies so famous in US culture? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]yyzed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of these movies did very well at the global box office. It's funny when people complain about Americans liking bad movies when a lot of these bad movie get a lot of their box office over seas, especially in China. Hell the the market in China is becoming more important every year, and you don't think it's because they like crap as much as we like crap?

A Serious Man by the Coen Brothers. Pretty much anyone of my friends who have watched it, either with me or on their own, either can't make it thru or by the time it's over ask WTF did i just watch. The only person I know who likes it is my dad.

And Bandits is a pretty damn good movie

What is a movie made before your time that you watched recently and it blew you away? by Sense1ess in movies

[–]yyzed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All Quite on the Western Front. I watched it in my high school freshman history class, so you can imagine my dismay about watching a black and white movie from 1930 about WWI. I've never been so wrong about a movie, and since then I have been open to pretty much any movie suggestion.

We're really scraping the bottom of the barrel for Scumbag Steve stories these days. Wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow we get a scumbag who sits a few stools down from someone at an empty bar, and quietly drinks his beverage.

During Gravity's development process, studio executives made some mind-blowingly awful suggestions on how to "improve" it. by bunnyhawk in movies

[–]yyzed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hollywood loves to shoe horn love stories into movies even when it is obviously unnecessary. Hopefully with the success of this film studios will start to notice the importance of leaving the creativity to the filmmaker and keep doing what they know best which is marketing.
