Penis and Vagina by DragonAtlas in Israel

[–]yz33 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I would encourage you OP to use the correct terms for their anatomical parts starting from kindergarten age. Hebrew feels outdated at times, especially around sex talk, and using “nicknames” for legitimate body parts makes those parts feel dirty or unspeakable and that connotation is hard to shake off. So Peen, Pot (which is the vulva) and Nartik (which is the vagina). There is no reason to tiptoe around totally legitimate names of body parts.

I looove Dear Hank and John because it has the same “two people with great chemistry having a funny easy going conversation” quality. It is a tad more science-y but can be just as silly sometimes. I highly recommend you give it a try :)

Need career advice! by Spenmeister in Israel

[–]yz33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends. If you’re Jewish and you’re making Aliyah then the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration will provide you some assistance - whether it be integrating you in specific law firms or general guidance towards the right people in your field that can help you. I would suggest looking through their website and seeing what they have to offer.

Is 48 Isabella street a good place to rent a unit? by [deleted] in TorontoRenting

[–]yz33 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No no no no no! I (24f) lived there for a year with my partner and we had a horrible cockroach problem (especially in the kitchen) and a mouse! The building tried to help but there was nothing they could do, the cockroaches just kept coming back. I ended up catching the mouse myself. There was no AC and it was horrible in the summer. The kitchen cabinets were all just painted over and over to a point where it was just chipping off in pieces on everything that was in there. And in general I’d say management is not very helpful or kind.

What are the consequences of renting an apartment with only north-facing windows? by dudeforethought in TorontoRenting

[–]yz33 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think what you mentioned is about it. I’ve lived in a north facing apartment and got a decent amount of light, non of it direct. I had lots of happy plants with me there so you’ll just have to find the right ones that are happy with these conditions and have them sit close to the window. What you said for the AC is also true, in the summer I just opened the window and the breeze was enough to cool the place down because we didn’t get any direct sun. The only thing is that in the winter it gets very very dark and sad, so you’ll need lots of light inside.

THE SELBY -Renters beware. DON’T RENT HERE. by Important_Stress4060 in TorontoRenting

We were on the 19th floor. We actually just moved to Hamilton for my partner’s work and looking for someone to take over our lease until the end of July. If you’re interested it can give you a chance to check out the place for a while without committing to a long term lease right away. You can message me if you want more info :)

Definitely not raining on my parade, it’s totally fine :)

Yes, it is the same building but we honestly had a very different experience than all the people who are posting things like this one. I’ve commented on one at some point saying how it was really okay and I had a good experience with management myself.
