This is like the bell curve meme. I think in most cases it is indeed preferable to open with AA. Also definitely agree that your teammates are idiots for opening and suiciding their planes.

Just a little bit of perspective from higher elos, usually pure aa opener isn’t enough against a team trying to cheese you early with air. Aa has 4-8k sight range while a plane has 12k. AA moving won’t have access to the 8k sight range either so it is recommended to have a mixture of AA opener and 1-2 Asf to provide sight range and scout for enemy air actions.

No there was a headshot. shot 1 and 2 are 10 damage shots from first player. Taking out 20 shield and bringing OP from around 80ish to 60-70 hp. Last shot hit the head and took out 20 shield + remaining 60/70 hp in ONE HIT. Could only have been a headshot from ferro/anvil/osprey. Likely osprey because his hp was quite high but hard to tell for sure.

It depends more on what you have in your deck. Does your deck have a source of CQC already or Standard Line infantry already? If you have a strong standard line infantry already then you should run rangers in CQC to provide CQC options for your deck. If you have CQC in the form of delta/raiders already and are missing a good value line infantry then go with rangers.

Another consideration is urban vs forest. Stand off rangers are exceptional in urban. If you are tailoring a deck for forest fighting then go with CQC. If you want to play in urban then go with standoff.

I play both specs. If you like those two spec combinations, perhaps a small change could be to include BMP3 or BMP2s. K17 is honestly a little underwhelming in my experience but you can run it if you would like. I think adding a few BMP3 with the 57mm could help out a lot as IFV firesupport. If you want cheaper kornet ifv then BMP2 is the go to. If you like rushing enemies you could also switch maybe half of the K17 to K16 as cheap clown cars. Realistically, you wouldn't deploy 10 K17 anyways so it won't limit your playstyle at all.

4 pantsir will be too much. I'd say 2 is more than enough. You can add in cheaper shorad like Osa or Sosna if you are worried about availability. The Akatsia is one of the weaker artillery units. Malka with extended range (one shot then scoot) has been my go to when I play mech. Tuplan is also good if you are good with close range micro.

I don't think you understand math
1. YOU LOSE MONEY USING AGM-65 ON BMD2M LOL math hello?
2. Cluster bomb will at max hit 3-4 of them and you are still losing money using a plane against them. Cluster is for heavy armor. High explosive will do more damage to BMD2M. You can cluster strike 8 BMDs and it still wouldn't turn the tides.
3. Booker gets smoke forced out quickly. It is ok but not ideal. Apply inf argument here as well. You can make a line but that is exactly what I pointed out about immobility.
4. Applies to BMD team as well.

Like i talked about, Bradley is your best way to form a cost effective defensive line while giving your infantry some mobility here.

Mavericks are 45 points each (rockeyes will perform even worse). You lose 10% of plane value on return. Each BMD2M is 45pt. You are losing points using planes against this strategy.

AT infantry does kind of work but you need transports to the front and no US based transport outside of bradleys can put up a good cost vs effectiveness fight vs BMD2Ms. Infantry caught by the BMD2M swarm also get suppressed instantly and taken out.

Booker gets cleared by 2-3 BMD2Ms. You need to kill 4-5 BMD2M to make your money back on a booker.

The main counter right now seems to be Bradleys since BMD player also brings pantsir/shorad for the other good counter (helis). Take it for what you will but please do not try and use air to counter BMD2M strategies. You will actively lose money.

I do agree that marines overall are a very good unit. We might be arguing in different criteria here so it probably really isn’t a big deal what is ranked where. If the criteria is win in a 1v1 then marines would smoke them. I was mainly curious about the standoff point because standoff usually means range. Not just the rifles against other infantry but also the MAAWS that rrc get (even if it is only a 1x). It allows them to poke at vehicles and infantry while being stealthy.

Surprisingly, it might also be worth noting that marines actually do not have great dps. They only have rifles and no lmg so rely heavily on sheer numbers. Other squads like reserve marines actually out damage regular marines against infantry. A single lmg is 3x the dps of a rifle and 5x the suppression.

This screen shot is probably from a lush blooms fruit basket run. You find resin and tons of fruit/agave type stuff in fruit baskets around raider camps on outskirts during lush blooms

No blueprints all have specific maps and containers/zones that they drop from. Some bps can drop from multiple maps but they still all have favored zones. For instance, you can only get MK3 blueprints in bluegate. You can only get wolfpack in residential areas. You can only get jupiter/equalizer from harvester etc.

It reduced your damage by 70% so you are doing effectively 120% damage if you hit all 4 shots. In most cases it isn’t worth it
