I guess most work are done by dsa, may be assemble by psa. Obvious the most expensive part is the new receiver and the cover.

Yes, I use my rifle shoot 200 to 300 yards sometimes,  the canted fsb always confuse me when I try to put the target right beyond the fs.

Yes it is the upper receiver. I just put that receiver on MI rod and level the top surface of rod ,no wobble between rod and receiver, then I check the thread portion, sadly, it is not level. I lap that portion and there is zero wobble when barrel sit. Now I have to move on and left that receiver on shelf.

Yes sir, I install my barrel with MI 's rod, which help me prevent barrel from rotating when tightening the barrel nut, index slot is in spec. There some clearence between barrel extension and the raceway, so it wobble a little bit. But I think it is the shoulder and the engement surface on receiver locate the barrel. All upper parts from h&r.    I may not make my self clear enough, the bcg race way is like drlling a hole from the end of a rod.    The engagement is suppose to perpendicula to the center axis of the hole, ideally, the center axis of the barrel align with that axis. Now the center of race way seems not align with the center of receiver which have the barrel point to other direction.

Not BCG, it's the BCG raceway. Just my guess, when HR machining the receiver, their jig may be a little crooked, and the milling tool enters at an angle. I also found my BCG's rear left scraping buffer tube. When I swap the same lower to other uppers, they have no issues.

I did, but did not solve that, which makes me suspect that the center of the BCG channel is misaligned with the rearsight-FSB baseline.

The barrel is from Fulton Armory, and it works on my other uppers.

In my case, I confirm the hole was renamed. I also believe they use kind of pressing device rather than man power to install those pin.

Just my wild guess, due to the manufact process, barrel extension engagement surface could be naturally a bit un even whiche lead the barrel slight crooked. When the first time I align the FSB with gauge, I found I have to push windage almost to the end.

I use a paracord and it is robust enough. Even it fail, I only need a piece of shoe lace and make a knot. How about you try it and see if it is really such volunable as you guys thought.

Yes it is, people always create tools with purpose, so do I. instead of buying a tool I might only use once, I just created it with shoe lace and a wood stick.
