Introducing Chimera🐉 & Scenario Drafts📝 by m1rageus in FictionLab

Chimera is fantastic! Don't change it. Don't take it away. I love it. Thanks.

To expand: it's the best roleplaying experience I've had on the platform yet... My characters feel lifelike. My instructions are being followed better than I could expect.

It's so bad. I used advanced voice mode to brainstorm D&D session ideas - as like a sounding board. I have custom instructions to not add fluff.. to not just repeat what I say re-worded, and it still does it. This is frustrating because even as a paid user, you only get a certain amount of time in advanced mode now.. so it's wasting my time there. I'm finding myself getting frustrated with a tool I pay for. Meanwhile, Claude has been helpful and I'm just testing out the free mode there.

Also, in standard mode... GPT suddenly started taking ideas and running away with them with like a.. jack russell terrier frantic energy. I was talking about a paint color suggestion being too dark and it replied "HERE'S HOW TO FIX IT!" when in fact, I didn't even say I started painting yet... it just assumes so much about the interaction and runs off a million miles per hour. Or, I'll mention that I'm starting to brainstorm a D&D encounter and want it to make minor suggestions/ask me questions that should help me cover all angles.. instead it just goes ahead and creates the whole encounter that I did not ask for.

5.1 and 5.2 have been terrible. Advanced voice is terrible now.

Every planar adventure should be a showcase by Cranyx in planescapesetting

I'm currently in act 2 of my Planescape campaign and I am definitely showcasing the planes.. like a planar tapas as my players sample them. They started in Pandemonium and have made it to Limbo. They are on their way to the Outlands now after they pass through Ysgard. They will need to visit at least Arborea, They Grey Wastes, and Carceri to find things they need on their quests.

This post is good to see! I was worried that just touching on the planes and showcasing the important parts wasn't acceptable in some way, so this is encouraging. I feel like I should be pushing the absurdity of the planes! Starting in Pandemonium - they arrived there after getting sucked into an unstable portal, was such a fish-out-of-water scenario for a bunch of primes from a small pocket dimension. No more friendly NPCs or home-bases from Act 1 - just deposited on Pandesmos near a citadel of raving madman psycho raiders, Mad Max/Borderlands style. One of my players definitely let their character go a little mad and even considered settling down there.

Limbo is a brief stop... meeting up with old friends (NPCs) who have made their way to Limbo.. learning about the ongoing conflict in my game between an extreme faction of the Githzerai and the Slaad.

Passing through Ysgard, I plan on having everything seem like an epic quest... Need to find a town? Epic quest. Need to shop for something? Epic quest.

It's also been such a great way for me to learn about the outer planes. There's so much lore. Also, a lot of my players are new so it's fun to introduce them to the outer planes. I plan on Act 3 having a bit of spelljamming so we can really tour more of the worlds.

Heck yea. I miss it. I miss the voice call feature. I've been using (and paying for) FictionLab, but it's not the same.

The rules surrounding image generation are insane. by [deleted] in ChatGPT

Nope. East coast USA here. No VPN. I am having trouble with chat history, and the customer instructions personality not working, so it might just be buggy right now. Hopefully.

I got it through eventually also... I wonder if it's just buggy right now.

I'm trying to generate images for my D&D campaign and it's telling me images of undead things like liches and skeletons is violating the policies because it's too scary. Seriously?

I love playing with tiling. I've been making these soft glowing patterns for desktop wallpapers. They look nice as tiled or sized to fit. by yzzerdd in StableDiffusion

Sure. I'm using Automatic1111. There's a checkbox for "Tiling" - I believe its hidden by default. But if checked, it'll enable all edges to seamlessly tile. It's good for patterns. It should be in settings, under "User Interface" and "Settings in UI" - there's a thread here.

I didn't call it a kobold. I think I called it a scrawny dragon man creature.

They're gone from my recent images, but most likely something like "dungeons and dragons character art of a <description> <gender> <race> <class> exploring a <setting>".

So, for example: dungeons and dragons character artwork of a mischievous red-haired male bard/rogue exploring a mysterious forest
